I've slowly started to try to catch up with this season, but so far, I've not liked any of them except Gachiakuta and May I Ask.
Dark History Villainess: pacing is all fucked up. It's as if I'm watchibg a summary. Dropped after 3 eps
Mangaka's Workplace: couldn't stand the MC. I don't typically mind characters like her, but she seemed super over the top anxious for no reason and over the same thing the entire time. Well for the time I watched it anyway. Dropped after 1 ep.
Pass The Monster Meat: started out fine, but after a couple of eps it became messy. Dropped it after 5 eps.
If anyone has fall 2025 suggestions, I'm open for it (as long as it's on CR and Netflix. Can't be bothered to pirate atm).
I finished That's My Atypical Girl after someone recommended it here.
It's quite good. I like how it deals with several heavy topics. Many manga have a tendency to make it a bit torture-porn-ish with topics like that, but this one stays grounded and almost a little detached, which fits well with the themes of the manga.
Not all plotthreads were finished up however, which was a bit anticlimactic. That also does kind of fit with the theme of the manga, but it didn't feel intentional.
I think this is a good place to end it, but it was a little underwhelming to be honest. They met up like nothing happened, which was nice in its own way, but idk, I expected a little more drama or time together I guess. Maybe just 1 more chapter of them being back together to let their reunion simmer a little bit.
With the Chainsaw Man movie still haunting me from last week, I caught up with Gachiakuta and May I Ask For One Final thing. The former I'm starting to care less about, the latter is great. Just as enjoyable as the manga.
Yeah, I'm kinda over it at this point tbh.
Probably better to take a short hiatus to figure out where to go rather than leaving it weirdly meandering like this.
