As I'm approaching a decade of no hope both politically and personally, I have completely lost the desire to be principled. I want to see everyone who has what I don't to lose everything, and I want to see them cry.
Khrushchev claims in his memoirs that he denounced Bukharin, Zinoviev, Rykov, and other conspirators in the Secret Speech because he did not want to contradict other Communist leaders who'd claimed that the trials were legitimate. He doesn't want to contradict leaders from 20 years previous, yet he's willing to denounce the figurehead of the Soviet project and the leader of the Great Patriotic War? Seems more likely to me that he hadn't yet come up with the idea of the "show trials" and is trying to justify the inconsistency.
Alexander Hamilton was a parasite. Lin Manuel Miranda is a parasite. His dad was, IIRC, key to the privatization of Puerto Rico's power. Mystery solved.
