  • Let's hope the bad things are from his perspective, things like him and his cronies being held accountable for their crimes and charges like Treason actually mattering.

    But knowing him he means very bad things like ordering the military to execute his political rivals and declaring elections invalid.

  • Highguard had submitted a trailer to be shown during the Game Awards, and the showrunner was so enamored with the game that he chose to give it the coveted last slot. That meant the awards show which had thus far had some really impressive announcements closed with a trailer for this firmly mid looking game, and people were pissed. It meant ending on a pretty low note compared to some of what had been seen.

    Some people thought incorrectly that Highguard had bought this last slot, but overall it did a lot to turn sentiments against the game, a hurdle they've been trying to overcome ever since.

  • Getting that show-closing trailer slot at the Game Awards really just completely torpedoed this game's chances. Absolutely took a mediocre to possibly okay game and turned everyone against it before it ever had a chance. I doubt they'll ever recover.

  • Don't forget the damage done by being so wildly inconsistent in maintaining the policy. MAYBE someone would invest in building production to take advantage of the tariff protections. However when you cancel the tariffs a month later, then reinstate them, then lower them, raise them, cancel them, and renew them again like a child mashing buttons, nobody will EVER invest in national production because they can't expect those tariffs to still be there when the factories are ready. Trump would have to actively try to do more economic damage than he has already.

  • It seems a lot of the people who insist protests are useless do so either because they think the only necessary step is voting, and that since the situation we're in was enabled by voting it's just fine they guess, or they think protests are useless because the people now need to rise in armed and violent rebellion, and that only by dying in droves in the face of a militarized police force and the actual military will the blood of martyrs achieve change.

The rest could try to send a message by pushing for articles of impeachment, but the message it sends is entirely wrong if and when he's just fully acquitted by his ruling party.

    This incidentally is a big part of why the mid-term election is going to be so important. If his shitstick cronies get thrown the fuck out then maybe something useful will actually get done about him.
