Boycotts are absolutely legal, you are completely entitled to decide who you don't want to do business with. However, illegality is no longer required for the justice system to be weaponized against you, and President Musk just wants to make an example to others who might not want to do business with an actual Nazi.
So you would suggest that Trump initiated the ban just so he could block it at the last minute, in an effort to make himself look good? If the Donvict hadn't gotten himself thrown out of office and had been able to see if through, there is no reality in which he then overturns his own ban at the last moment. He purely and only overturned it here because it was not seen as something He did, but something Biden did.
The premise that Trump pulled a bait and switch, deliberately initiating the ban specifically so he could "look good" by overturning it is absolutely idiotic. He overturned it because Biden finished it, and "Undo Biden" is one of his overriding directives.
At one point Trump literally suggested reducing reported Covid cases by just not testing. They genuinely think the important thing is not to talk about it.
Y'all misunderstood, the accusations of sexual assault, drunkenness, and financial mismanagement were considered qualifications by this administration.
No, and that's an incredibly stupid premise. Trump wasn't the one to push the Ban. He wasn't the one to keep it going to completion, and he sure didn't PLAN on not having a second consecutive term. He's just following his most basic programming of If Biden did(Thing); Undo(Thing)
We don't require everyone to wear a pair of gloves at all times. We don't put glove data on legal forms, we don't use gloves to classify a critical element of our sense of self. We don't make changing your glove type illegal, costly, or incredibly difficult. We don't make getting 4 or 6 finger gloves illegal. We don't force people with 6 fingers to get one chopped off. We don't exclude people who are missing a hand entirely from society. We don't publicly demonize people with 4 fingers.
Yes, the proportion of people impacted is small, but the impact to those people is not. We can't just call it "Good enough" because it works for 99% of the population when the 1% it definitely doesn't work for is being absolutely ruined by it, especially if the exceptions that serve that small population are being systematically eliminated so that their existence is either suffering or criminality.
Can't wait for the Right to recognize that if they normalize nullifying constitutional amendments with executive orders, the next Democrat president can just use that to nullify the 2nd Amendment that they're so terribly fond of.
Of course that assumes there will be another election some day.
Fucking wow... I had been telling myself that it was probably an out of context still, a photo that was a bad look for sure but it couldn't really be THAT bad.
It really is. It really fucking is that bad. There really is no excusing it, no depth of delusion that can cover it. It really is exactly what we thought it was.
That doesn't mean making an effort to minimize harm is pointless, it just means you'll never get it to zero. Touting that phrase all too often turns into a band-aid to excuse less-ethical choices, just because someone's always getting screwed somewhere.
I also don't like that I'm not doing the things I should be doing. Yes, I absolutely do see that those things need to be done, no I don't think someone else is going to do them. Yes, I wish I would just get up and get it done too.
It would be hilarious that a senator from fucking ALABAMA is insisting that California needs reforms, if not for the fact that Tuberville is an absolute waste of oxygen. It's like hearing a funny stand-up bit and then learning it was performed by your brain tumor.
The kind of people who would be bothered by being accused of "Virtue Signaling" are also the kind of people who are aligned with the rise of fascism and enabling of racism on the platform. But do go on acknowledging that working for Meta is itself an immoral position.
