I have a comic that I work on when I have the time and energy for. If not some random doodles or drawing maps and sometime NPCs amongst my prep for my dnd game. Some times I play videogames too but I find it hard to really sink into it the way I did when I was a kid.

I made an offhanded comment about not liking Akon's part in Gewn Stafani's Sweet Escape to my friend. He then proceeds to play the song around me every chance he got for weeks and have Pavlov'd me into having a negative reaction to the song. I have also developed an uncanny (according to my SO) ability to recognise Gwen Stafani's voice even though I have never put on one of her songs on my own.

I want to add that even today, it's the convention to refer to foreign names using the closest sounding Chinese characters. 華盛頓 is simply how George Washington would be referred to in Chinese today. Which character is used can also vary depending on the dialect/language used because it is pronunciation based, and the different dialect/language are pronounced differently (duh).

Trump, for example, is 特朗普 dak6 long5 pou2 in Cantonese and 川普 Chuān pǔ in Mandarin. Biden is the same for both, 拜登 baai3 dang1 in Cantonese and Bài dēng in Mandarin.

A lot of them aren't common words at all. A lot of them with the 金 radical are probably names of elements. At random I looked up 釷 and it's the name for Thorium lol
