  • Microsoft has a partnership with OpenAI. I’m sure Microsoft is happy to have someone in-house who knows all of those secrets.

  • moved from one part of the cd to another

Damn. That wisdom hits me a little too hard. Thanks for sharing!

  • This thread is filled with comments on DE, but it was your comment that convinced me to finally play the game.

    Thanks for the story!

  • DayZ was such an amazing experience at the time. Battle arena games hadn’t taken off yet and you really had to pay attention to your surroundings.

    Great story! War is hell

  • Wow, such a cool revelation. I think the devs of CK2 would be proud that you engaged with their game like this.

    Great story!

  • Asklemmy @lemmy.ml

What was a profound moment that a video game caused you to experience, and why?

  • Don’t you fucking tempt me

  • I think the “not having to be first” is what is so powerful.

I know that if I comment on a post from a few days ago on a populated community, I’ll likely at least get a reply from OP, if not a bunch of other people finding my comment and replying as well.

It’s like Lemmy is the nice, small-town version of Reddit (which is probably more similar to Gary Indiana).

  • I originally read it as “Germany says ‘Fuck wind as an alternative energy source’ and begins reverting back to coal”, so I figured I’d clarify in case anyone end thought the same thing.

Doesn’t seem like this article indicates that Germans is giving up on alternative energy.

    Edit: corrected dumb spelling mistake.

  • I think this headline is misleading.

A better headline might read: “Coal found beneath wind farm. Turbines dismantled to make room for mining operation.”

  • I’m not denying climate change. I was recently in Florida and it is, indeed, hot af.

The article is saying that there’s evidence that the heat is causing coral to die. They really don’t know the extent of the impact.

Vague article titles are just a pet peeve of mine. This whole article could have been summed up in less than 3 sentences.

    Quote:

That would mean “significant and severe” bleaching will start in the next week and the coral could start to die altogether within a month, he said.

“It still remains to be seen if this event is going to be more or less severe than previous events,” Manzello said. “However, all of the evidence right now is pointing to the fact that it’s going to be one of the more severe events we’ve seen.”
