Yeah, I would prefer not to use Google, so I'm going to figure out how to use another authenticator. I wish Proton had the ability to be an authenticator, but I haven't seen a way to do that yet.
But all my family has a Google account, so it just makes things easier.
I enjoy a lot of these long-form critiques. I literally spent the whole 4 hours to watch that 4 hour critique of Galactic Star cruiser by Jenny Nicholson.
Not all the long critiques are good, but some of them really are great.
I also watch upwards of 3 hours speedruns of the Fallout series so...
I just got this working today and can say it's quite an elegant solution. It means anyone with a Google account (that I allow through Cloudflare settings) can take advantage of immich. I plan to be the storage server for my family so they can have automatic photo backups.
If you decide to go that route and have questions, hit me up. I spent a while troubleshooting issues caused by not creating a SaaS application in Cloudflare, so read the directions exactly.
Hmm, I'd always understood ellipses to mean a thought was trailing off, or as a written indicator of someone thinking as if taking a pause while speaking.
I was never taught that's what it means, just seems that's how most people use it.
You're missing the point. Of course being lost in the woods with another human is preferable to a bear. The point in choosing the bear in the hypothetical scenario is that women have felt so uncomfortable around men for so long, that it's almost preferable to risk the bear than risk the man. It's making a statement about how women feel they're being treated by too many men every day.
Maybe listen to the women who say they choose the bear, they're telling you something is wrong with how they're treated.
It is sad that great role models for men don't really exist right now. Who would most men look to for guidance? An actor? They're fine and all, but they're not usually symbols of greatness, they're actors...
Politicians? Definitely not, we all know there isn't a single politician that anyone can really look up to.
Corporate leaders? Selfish people at the least, destructive at worst. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos aren't anybody anyone should be going to for advice.
Online pundits? That's where men are finding themselves because those are the only people talking to men specifically. Their guidance is flawed (an understatement), but when they're the only ones addressing the problems men have, of course many young guys are going to gravitate toward them.
It helps white people feel like they still own people. /s
But more seriously, I grew up in the South and the main reason people go is because you typically have 3 choices of breakfast restaurants: IHOP, Waffle House, and Cracker Barrel.
And Waffle House isn't typically a choice, it's a place you stumble into with a hangover or after a party.
4 generations later: "I've inherited my father's steam account just as he inherited it from his father and so on. The library has grown ever larger, and yet so many remain untouched. The summer sales have sustained my forefathers and yet I feel hollow. Each year, more games are added to this historic account, but each year brings more regret as the purchases go untouched. I shall make a promise to myself: finish the extensive library, honor my family, complete the library. But first, some more Counter Strike."
I just flew through Dallas, barely missing these storms by like 2 hours. It was the first time I'd been there.
Holy crap, that airport is a shit hole. Everything feels disgusting and in disrepair. The bathrooms were so unclean, the carpets looked 50 years old, the trams were falling apart.
That's the first and only time I will ever be in Texas. Texas is the "shit hole country."
Fucking within like 2 minutes of using their apps too, they ask, "do you like the app?" Then another popup that says, "provide feedback for why you don't like our app?"
Because you keep getting in the way of me actually doing what I need to do. And it's getting uninstalled as soon as I'm done with it.
I see "good" dogs constantly jumping on people, scratching them, biting their fingers when they get too happy, barking at anything and everyone, and being entirely unpredictable. I personally really dislike dogs and I have never found an owner that actually keeps their dog from jumping on me.
Dogs are not inherently good and most are very dangerous.
I don't have to be cautious with my infant around cats, but I definitely do around dogs.
I have the 2021 Mazda3 Hatchback Premium Plus, so I have all the options (the COVID used car prices were great for when my previous one got totaled, the insurance company really paid out). It was brand new when I bought it. I have very few issues with it.
It's quick, fun to drive, and feels really premium for not being priced insanely. I personally think it's comfortable, but if you're looking for more space, it's probably not the way to go. For example, the front seats aren't very usable with a rear-facing car seat in the back. The trunk space is pretty good imo. But I hate large cars in the first place.
I don't use Android Auto or CarPlay because I enjoy the ease of use of the built-in system. The control scheme uses a dial between the seats where your arm rests, so it's really easy to keep a hand on the wheel and navigate menus with it. There are also some quick buttons and a volume knob. The software could use a little work because sometimes album art doesn't show up, but that's mostly been fixed by changing Bluetooth settings on my phone. I truly don't think there's a better way to build a car control system.
I can't speak on reliability of my own car, but my mom had a CX-5 and it seemed to last a good while without maintenance issues. I've personally had no problems so far. I've had good luck with Mazda dealership service too and I'll probably stick with getting maintenance from them just so I can be sure someone who knows how those cars are built is working on it.
If Mazda comes out with an EV that has decent range and doesn't utilize a touchscreen, I'd for sure get like, the 3rd or 4th generation of it (because 1st and 2nd Gen anything can suck.
