Do they hate fascists? They seem to be quite accommodating what with the slow rolling of justice for any infractions and the weakest of resistance to funding any 'security' concerns.

Those that idolize Trump already hate muslims. The greatest change I'd imagine is not necessarily 'more' islamophobia but more overt hate crimes arising out of it.
Go ham- ask everyone about their food, but recognize that it violates a nebulous and unsaid etiquette and may incur consequences commensurate.
