No, this is not the issue and the article expounds on that.
The tl;dr is that kids mirror their parents’ behaviors. If a parent spends multiple hours per day on their phone, the kid thinks that’s what they should do as well.

Didn’t this game come out like 39 hours ago?

What happened with Nest?

The zoo […] is owned by Mario Tabraue, a former cocaine trafficker who served 12 years of a 100-year sentence for his 1989 conviction on narcotics and racketeering charges
It’s not about Joe Exotic.

So “pro life” they’ll kill you over it.

“Set an alarm” is similarly totally fucked now. I used to use the Google assistant for simple stuff like that, but now it’s way easier to just open the clock app and set the reminder myself. Then they added a widget/shortcut to identify the song playing in the room, and now I don’t need the assistant at all.

Damn, this sounds a lot better than I expected. I’ll have to check this out once my Forza hype dies down.

I’ve been doing this for years with a variety of USB chargers of various wattages. Never encountered any issues. I’m talking hundreds of recharges.

Good luck with that.
The company is now known for producing complete drivel, so what’s a little more AI slop?
Because he’s an extreme perfectionist, and it will never be perfect.
There’s a GREAT book about the making of different games called Blood, Sweat, and Pixels and it includes a chapter on Stardew Valley. Pretty much the only reason Stardew was released was because Ape had pretty bad financial troubles. He won’t be in that situation again thanks to Stardew’s success.
HC will never be good enough (in Ape’s super-perfectionist mind), so he’ll keep working on it forever. And he won’t bring anyone in to help him finish it for the same reason. I mean, we’re already six years into development and he still hasn’t indicated anything about being remotely close, or even said “I want to finish these things before I release v1.” He wants to release a perfect game that does everything he could dream of as v1, and doesn’t want to compromise with anything less.
It’s basically a curse of his and TBH I feel bad for the guy. Do read the book (or at least the Stardew vignette) if you’re a fan of his work - it was very enlightening.
Geez, that’s a whole lot of dreaming and unfounded hype-building, especially for a game that will likely never see an actual release.

Have you looked at the page? It would be a BIG effort to fake it, and the suggestions read like the kind of stupid shit only real players come up with. “Make Xbox Love free” was one of the top suggestions… why would Xbox even put that on there, much less fake it to the top?

Fucking hell. PS5 finally gets a few good exclusives and then they jack up other prices so high that the barrier to entry is still unjustifiable. Good luck fixing those slumping sales numbers, Sony.

What did you buy?

Their main appeals of “easy” and “cheaper” haven’t been true for years.
Please help me get a machine that compares to the PS5/XSX in terms of performance and cost. I’m being serious. Every time I look at putting something together it’s gonna be like $1500-$2000.

Man, this article really reads as some tech dystopia / 1984 shit. It’s full of bad faith arguments by those who approved and/or operate the flock cameras. Really scary stuff to see play out in reality.
This quote sums things up super well, highlighting the danger of what we are seeing at the national level flowing down into local governments:
The mayor has gone far beyond her lawful authority. If left unchallenged, it sets a dangerous precedent where the mayor can claim a public safety emergency any time she disagrees with the legislative branch, creating an unchecked power that echoes what is happening in Washington.

LOL. LMAO, even.

Not a great article even if it does attempt to make a relevant point.
Talks about how we didn’t get slimmed down versions of consoles while ignoring the beefed up releases like PS5 Pro.
And then they totally lost me at the still image comparison between Xbox One and XSX and related talk about how games look mostly the same across gens. Anyone who has played the pictured game (Halo Infinite) on both knows how the visual differences are huge - better resolution, higher frame rate, WAY better draw distance, texture popping reduction, etc.
This author has an agenda that they go out of their way to push, even when they don’t need to.
LOL. Imagine having an AI subscription in the first place.
