  • One of my friends rescued The Bintop (a laptop that was found in a bin around 2012ish and was exclusively used to stream pirated media until it chugged to a near halt around 2019) just by putting Mint on it. Not even Xfce, just regular Cinnamon and it works better than when it came out of the bin.

  • Even better, "Supreme Leader" and "Prime Minister" are synonymous both in whole and part.

  • looking down at my Animal pajama pants: whew, I'm safe.

  • Famously imperialist country, Mongolia.

Also 3 of Switzerland's official languages are just the language of the closest country, less than 1% of the population speak Romansh.

  • One of my friends has spent a year in Wandsworth without trial for supporting Palestine so don't fucking try to tell me about the evils of Russian justice

  • Only Germany has a stronger stance on Israel, probably due to the large presence of Jews in the country.

Sib, you're gonna need to sit down before I tell you this...

  • I would pinch EVERYTHING

  • Yeah, that's a difficult one, because on the one hand you're right that he's ultimately cosplaying as a prole, but I think the deeper issue is that humans fundamentally want to at least feel like they're helping. In an ideal world there would be plenty of room for old people to fill basic button pushing jobs that they just want for something to do, but he's only able to do that in this world because of the wealth he's amassed.

It's probably best to just be friendly but avoid politics. It's not like you can do anything to get rid of him without personal risk, so if he's just being nice why bother?

  • I've known a fair few public defenders and only ever read of ones that did it for non-ideological reasons (Queer Harmer). Like either you absolutely fully believe in the importance of defending both the guilty and innocent from the potential injustices of the legal system or you're not cut out for it.

  • That's just Pathfinder 1e

  • I brought a 5e-only player and 2 5e-over-PF players in for my current PF2e campaign and quickly converted them completely, because while 5e is, as you say, shallow but somehow complex, PF2e is deep but somehow simple. Three action economy, save and skill DCs, degrees of success - they're simple and easy to remember and use, so you can still make a move-attack-raise shield character, but it's just as easy (and worthwhile) to do more complex things like combat manoeuvres and spellcasting as they use the same mechanics.

I honestly think most 5e players would much prefer to play PF2e but are scared away by the percieved complexity and choices, and could be quickly convinced with a few sessions of play. I onboarded all my players with a couple of the free RPG day oneshots.

  • [obvious CW] Unfortunately they made an item that facilitates it.

  • Pretty sure it was Lamashtu who had the bestiality stuff, they drew heavily on the source material when designing her.

  • Remember when his dear mummy talked about austerity?

  • archaeological evidence confirming that Israelite culture was already indigenous to the region and there was neither a period of slavery in Egypt, nor an Exodus from Egypt, nor a conquest of Canaan as they were already there.

I'd say this is a little inaccurate - the Israelite culture is an offshoot of the Canaanite culture from some 400 years after Israel was founded, based on the Canaanite scripture but with YHWH in place of El, and while there wasn't a period of slavery or exodus in Egypt, there does seem to have been one in Babylon after the Babylonian conquest. The real issue of the both histories is that only about 20% of the population of the Kingdoms of Israel and Judea were enslaved, the other 80% stayed and after 2 millennia of cultural exchange ended up as Palestinians.

  • Yet another victim of

. No, we're not the same person, part of Hexbear's site culture is that we don't have downvotes so people who disagree with something have to articulate that disagreement instead of just downvoting because they don't like it.

But OK, I'll accept your unevidenced claim that Mexico is a "narcostate", and even your wild notion that race and racism is unrelated to cultures, because I'm not asking about either of those things: I asked you to explain your idea that Mexico is a narcostate because of the culture.

  • 3 sets a week? I'm already on my third of the day.

  • Then I'm sure you'll be able to explain your thesis, instead of dismissing everyone else as ignorant.

  • Its not about identifying as it, it's about being called it - people going through psychotic episodes (which are entirely separate to psychopathy) or delusions often get called it. Psychopathy isn't even an actual medical classification, so there isn't really a reason to use it as a term at all.
