  • Never said he should be president now. That was 10 years ago. I've been following Bernie since the bush years and I was in his 2016 campaign.

I actually wish he would quit caucusing with them and go back to completely independent but then he would be powerless.

The Democratic leadership is actually less democratic then Republicans. At least the Republicans honor the primary process. The current Democratic leadership needs to be ousted or we're going to have another trump.

  • When approaching this proposition, remember that there will be a lot of push back that might sound sincere but remember that there are a lot of people in the data mining business and they will definitely not be arguing in good faith.

  • That's because all the good trees are gone and we live in a giant parking lot. We can't be living a lie, now

  • And yet, people still refuse to use it.

At least I've learned a lot about people during my 10 years on signal.

In all my time I've only got about 6 people to permanently use it. Unfortunately, they only permanently use it with me.

I swear they act like it's such a pain. Even though it's just as easy as anything else. It's quite infuriating.

  • No, they just rig the primaries like they did to Bernie in 2016. And then they wonder why people are fed up with them.

Then.. oh yeah. There was no primary in 2024. They rigged it again and annointed Kamala.

So you see. It's rigged. And people don't like it

  • No. Get better progressives or things will slide further right.

There is actually a segment of the population that voted for Trump that would actually vote progressive if there were candidates that actually practiced what they preached and had some guts.

  • The so called left is extremely right compared to 50 years ago. They keep moving to the right and now they keep losing. The left is further right than the right was 50 years ago. We're moving into fascism because the fake left can't grow a spine and represent what their supporters actually want.

Seems like you want more fascist supporting right wingers.

  • That if definitely a fair point. Although I could also say the same about Schumer, just a better disguise.

  • Say what you want. You pissed on others for calling out a weak democratic left opposition now your doing the same.

Doesn't matter if it's a different day and a different thread. What kind of stupid logic is that? A contradiction is still a contradiction.

  • Sure, you canhave all the contradictory opinions you want.

  • Democratic countries will not join. Dictatorships might join, though.

  • Yes this dude sucks. But I just saw in another thread where you lampooned people for being angry about the weak Democratic opposition. So which is it?

  • Those two are con artists. It's funny you mention Schumer having picking a topic he has no power over because I imagine that his role shtick.

Haha the Schumer Schtick: con the public by talkng about emotional idioms he has no control over and distract away from real issues he does have control over.

  • Marvelous was great. Always attentive to that show.

  • My comment was more about how I feel. Wine is a choice. It's a choice to turn off better choices out there. It's a choice to not be strong and not take the leap to other open source alternatives. It's a choice to keep putting money in the oligarch's pocket.

My comment is to encourage people to turn off their fears and make that leap. It's to encourage people to try out the alternatives and support the open source community.

But wine is also a choice for when you're forced to use an app that your company or client requires. But if your not the that category I encourage you to try out the open source alternative.

My comment is also based on the fact that making corporate apps more accessible and mainstreamed to Linux makes better (designed) apps less supported and less robust.

  • The opposite. Wine is a crutch stopping people from choice and keeping money in the oligarch's pocket instead of people to taking the leap and contributing to open source expansion that allows us to have choice. But I think you already knew that and chose to take a cheap shot instead for karma.

Would have taken you more seriously if you made an argument that wine at least allows people to dip their toes in the Linux community but no, you chose to sound like a "badass" instead.

  • Choice is good. Hate is bad.

  • In 10 years, nobody is ever going to want to go outside at all.

  • Not sure how I feel about wine these days. It brings things to Linux that has wonderful replacements now. We go to Linux to escape the gunk. Not to bring the gunk.
