  • Yes, except "hire enough people". You can't staff enough to cover 4 out of 8 employees off from a combination of sick, bereavement, and vacation.

It happens. All you can do is prioritize tasks, make it work the best you can with the resources you have, and manage expectations.

If the work can't be rescheduled, and isn't worth paying someone OT to cover, well, then, it's not worth doing.

  • Fomb, flomb, plomb, resomb, legomb, volomb, perfomb, presomb, costomb, exomb...

I don't see the problem here. All perfectly readable.

  • I think the worst behaved people are those that conspire to use their immense wealth and influence to actively harm people for the sole purpose of consolidating neverending wealth.

But, yeah, guys who at least put some of their money back into the economy by buying luxury status over basic do get my hackles up.

But that's damning a snake because the devil looks like you.

  • I bet this works nominally better, but I just heat the pan with oil. I can't be arsed to wipe screaming hot oil out of a pan only to reintroduce new cold oil and have to contemplate whether it could possibly make a difference and either feeling like an idiot for blindly following such an absurd direction, or like an idiot for not understanding the scientific grounds for which it works.

  • Demos, people! Demos!

  • I bet it will be more like Prime where they display everything they own to tempt you, but there's an increasing number of additional subscriptions you actually need to access the content.

  • Have you seen North American public transportation?

Yeah, I have a "choice", but it's 60-85 minutes on 3 busses or a 12 minute drive to get to and from work.

  • I don't know, they're pretty creative when it comes to squeezing the populace and the planet for profit.

You know, the same way Buffulo Bill's skin suit was a creative outlet.

  • Yep, and normally I'd say you gotta just be the change and vote for a losing party to build support.

But with what's happening in the abyss that is the States right now, taking a step backward in order to move forward feels much more dangerous than ever before.

We need electoral reform, but asking for it, and being promised it, sure hasn't been working.

  • What a sanctimonious, self righteous asshole.

"I don't have allergies and even I don't go to restaurants, so people with allergies don't deserve to experience normal human life because it's inconvenient for other people. "

Get off your highly horse and get fucked by it, buddy.

No, there's nothing sweet or savory about rotting meat, but it isn't rotting, now is it?People that eat meat do not eat rotting carcasses (RFK aside) the same way vegans don't eat rotten vegetables.

  • It should be, but vampires are alluring which belies their evil. That's the cautionary part of the fiction.

Is Bezos a soulless ghoul cannibalizing the festering, necrotic wound of poverty which he grows larger every day? Yes, and in no way can that be conflated to being sexy.

  • To be fair, the killing isn't the point; they're the product. Its just that profit is God, so killing in its name is justified.

Killing poors for the joy of it? That's just an evil bonus.

  • Ghoul is the only really good one in the list. Its a generic feind thats in no way cool.

    Rogues and vampires are cool.

Sycophant is good when someone's being a sycophant. But you can be independently ghoulish.

  • The point of education is to learn something. I think "using AI to generate complex ideas will prove you don't know what you're talking about to anyone that does" and "if your use of AI is suspicious, you're better off blaming AI than dying on that hill defending it" are decent lessons. One can hope that shame would be a course correction to a successful education.

  • It’s probably fine to reuse it for a few days

My dude, hardly anyone uses a new towel every day. Its much more than "probably" fine. Its perfectly fine.

Is affluence the cause of germophobia because their parents convinced them frivolous luxury was actually important for staying healthy?

Don't get me wrong, enjoy your fresh towels! That's nice. That's a luxury. Luxuries are nice. But don't fool yourself into believing that you're any healthier for not using the same towels twice.

  • We can end illegal immigration and deregulate minimum wage by issuing a standard baseline amount to all legal citizens

  • Just don't stress so much. Take the time to enjoy your hobbies or just relax. Your body needs it.

Also, find an extra 4 hours every day to exercise, meditate, and get a full night's sleep. But also make sure to socialize with friends and family. Oh, and eat right. And clean up a bit, your environment is a big factor.

    But don't stress!
