This is like saying "they don't actually have that much oxygen. They've got it compressed in massive liquefied tanks. You can't breathe liquid oxygen, so it doesn't really count as breathable air. So nevermind that a billionth of the population controls 50% of the oxygen on the planet because the actual gaseous air they breath on the day to day is just an extremely comfortable level of oxygen."

Yes, private insurance is the pinnacle of efficiency.
The main advantage of private resource pooling is the complete lack of accountability and oversight.
Just look at the record breaking corporate profits private insurance makes year after year. It must be a good business for everyone. Unlike when the government provides a service and it either somehow loses money to so many overpaid citizens or is a complete rip off tax grab because it clearly doesn't cost as much as the budget.
