People look for housing and landlords provide a valuable service to society

Almost, people need housing and landlords can exploit that need. Renters provide a valuable service to landlords. How about this analogy: people need food, but that doesn’t mean every single company that sells food is good for society, or even good for the individual people they sell to. Many are the opposite, at least in the US. Look I’m not arguing for banning buying more than one property, though I’m not against it, all I’m saying is that your claim that people “look for” landlords is absurd.

Yeah considering the knives still fucked up the radish so the only thing the glove is good for is stopping blood contamination, we really need to see it against a hypodermic needle. If the needle goes through, the entire demonstration is meaningless.

If this isn’t your neighbor’s first garden, I’d assume they’re correct, cucumbers can definitely grow like this. There are even heirloom varieties that always grow round, they’re also more yellow than common cucumber varieties. Easiest way to tell would be to cut into one.

Even if you have the same greeness of grass, you’re neighbor’s will look greener because you’re seeing it from a more horizontal angle. If you were in their yard, your grass would look greener.

Regardless, the potential cost difference doesn’t negate my previous point, no one has ever “looked for a landlord”.

A couple times I was in major ice storms, one in mid-April, both storms literally covered the entire town in an inch and half of ice, power was out for a week in some places, trees and branches were down on every single block. The one when I was in high school, we didn’t have a generator, so we would just sit in the house fully bundled up in winter gear with a little propane tank space heater attachment thingy (which kinda scared me, but obviously we didn’t blow up or anything or I would have told the story differently lol). Then we’d go over to our neighbors’ house to sleep, since they did have a generator.

The other time I was in college, it was the only time classes ever got cancelled. Thankfully our part of town never lost power. You could hear trees and branches breaking and falling all over town for days, it was wild. My buddies and I decided to go disc golfing, lol, we had to give up after hole 5 because the course started to get hilly and it was nearly impossible to stay upright. We also invented snow-quet, croquet in the snow, that same week. It’s a bit of a misnomer though, since it was really about the thick ice layer on top, it was just too good of a portmanteau. A lot more challenging than regular croquet.

The people delivering your mail every day are good guys, the craven dillweeds in charge tripping over themselves trying to slob fascist knob are bad guys.

That’s like saying people with major medical issues “are looking for” insurance salespeople to fix their medical issues. They “need” insurance because the system is fucked, not because insurance will make them better. Likewise, no one “looks for” a landlord, they look for housing they can afford.

It’s not always, money is just the best way to wield power in a capitalist society. Look at Christofascists, illegalizing trans people, banning abortion, trying to kickstart the apocalypse, none of that is about money, it’s about exerting control over others. It’s accomplished with money, but money isn’t the end goal.
