  • This doesn't look dystopian at all. Sure the one playing videos and stuff is on that line, but most of it's about mobility aid for residents and reducing the strain on staff, they even point out that they can't use these robots to replace people. This all looks like good news if you read anything past the headline.

  • Jones hasn't crawled under any rocks, he's been going strong even with a billion dollar judgement against him and filing for bankruptcy. Infowars is being auctioned off in a week so it might be bought by someone who will just keep him exactly where he is, but he's been openly setting up a backup business and directing people to it, which he's said ON AIR he'll just fold into the existing business if all goes well. His dad has a completely independent supplement company and he's got completely unaffiliated mates selling his merch.

    The only reason he's less prominent now is because the politicians and the mainstream media in the US are so fucking unhinged that he's struggling to stay relevant in his niche.

  • She's an anti-hero more often than not now, fighting villains bigger than her. From the New 52 when she started going solo and turned on Joker (or he turned on her really), to Injustice where she was a major player in the resistance, to the DCEU where she turned against ARGUS to stop Starro which wasn't even her mission. Even in the Suicide Squad game which is part of the Arkham universe and doesn't include any kind of redemption arc for her she's still only killing the Justice League when they're being controlled by Brainiac, who is probably second only to Darkseid as far as villains go. Under duress sure, but she's doing it.

  • I bought a little $15 single-serve rice cooker and left it in the staff room where I work. Nobody else has ever touched it or even knows who it belongs to as far as I know. Beats wasting hours doing bulk meal prep on the weekends or getting takeaway. If it ever disappears it was cheap enough that it doesn't matter.

  • I've had several people comment on the way I tie my shoelaces. I can't even remember how to do it the "normal" way, but I use that knot that takes about half a second where you make both loops at once and pull them through each other.
