  • I don’t think they do convey the same information.

“They don’t know what the f*** they’re doing.” US President Donald Trump delivered an extraordinary four-letter outburst as he criticised breaches of the Israel-Iran ceasefire. Trump aimed the bulk of his anger at Israel, saying he would try to avert further planned attacks.

All the summary has done is remove the quote. That part IS the news that’s being reported on, it matters just as much as the context.

Qatar was the “obvious choice” for Iranian retaliation against the US because it hosts the largest US military base in the Middle East while also acting as a trusted intermediary for Tehran, Al Jazeera’s Dorsa Jabbari explained after the missile attack near Doha.

This one has removed the source (which is fair enough if you think that’s not useful information, but I wouldn’t agree), one of the two reasons given, and the context. Someone who only sees this summary will have no idea what it’s about or how to look into it further, which means they’re going to have to read the (one sentence) article anyway.

As for paragraphs, yes. Text that looks like this

is not useful to anybody. I’m not reading this, you haven’t read this. It’s awful.

  • Dude was convicted of 34 felonies and THEN got elected president for a second time after a disastrous first term which ended with him inciting an insurrection to try to stay in power, the richest man in the world (credibly!) said he’s a pedophile and is covering it up, which surprised nobody because we all fuckin know, he said himself that he could shoot someone on the street and not lose any voters. What “dirt” do you think anyone has on him that he would be worried about?

  • Yeah obviously, but so what? The guy was convicted of 34 felonies and was still allowed to become president. Unless there’s a consequence for any of these scum (and no, Elon losing some money while still having more than every single person on this site combined will see in a hundred lifetimes doesn’t count) who gives a shit about any more proof of Trump’s crimes?

  • There’s a game on Steam called Coloring Pixels which is basically just paint by number with pixel art. It’s one of the most chill games you’ll ever play. They posted an update about their next community-voted DLC, which is a Pride themed colouring book. They have dozens of DLC books, all super cheap, this one costs a dollar. Even knowing exactly what the Steam users are like (hell, the first page of comments on any update to any game is generally 75% blocked because they’re all assholes or spammers) I couldn’t believe the backlash from the “anti-woke” dickheads. For a digital colouring book. They’re the biggest fuckin babies.

  • Nah man, read the article. He’s not regretting his face being eaten, he’s saying that they’ll regret it if leftists get back into power and do the same things back to them. He’s as big a dumb cunt as the rest of them.

“That’s a mistake — one that conservatives could come to regret,” he wrote bluntly. “Whether or not Mr. Trump ultimately succeeds, his attempt to weaponize the tax code sets a troubling and dangerous precedent."
If an administration can threaten liberal institutions today, he argued, “what would stop a leftist administration from targeting churches and synagogues tomorrow?”
