You seem to not understand the term precedent. Neither is that a new thing to do for the US nor is it actually requiring congress authorisation. They gave up that power long ago and now don't need to autorise anything for up to 90 days.
Also the US has not declared war once since WW2... They actually set the precedent for "military operations" and -again- not recently either.

Non-technical users don't have any problems with Linux as an alternative. They don't know nor care what is running on their PC as long as they can click on icons opening the handful of basic programs they actually use.
It's the pseudo-technical users that think their constant MS indoctrination means they are the pinacle of experienced PC users that are the problem.
Also hier (NRW) gibt's jetzt leider gelegentlich Schneeregen statt nur Regen. Über Nacht friert dann wohl beides gleichermaßen zu 'ner hübsch glitzernden Schicht auf allen Wegen. seufz
Ist ja auch okay. Alle anekdotischen Erfahrungen sind letztendlich gleich wertlos...
PS: Und davon abgesehen. Das größte Problem bei r/de war aber eh nicht die Übersensibilität der Mods, sondern deren Strike-System ohne Gewichtung oder Verjährung... die einzige Möglichkeit da langfristig aktiv zu sein, ohne früher oder später den Perma-Ban abzubekommen, ist ja keinerlei tiefergehenden Inhalte oder eigene Meinungen kundzutun.
They have picked a lane: "Left", "progressive", "liberal", "socialist"... it's all basically the same and interchangeable. And all they do is advertising "unrealistic agendas" while destroying all hope to "appeal to moderates". Soon they will probably add "radical" and probably "communist" to the descriptors as their narrative progresses and the framing gets more aggressive.
Hat auch nur 1½ Jahre gedauert um das zu ermitteln (frei verfügbares Bild; bewusst gespiegelt...), was unsereins einen Tag nach dem ersten Veröffichtlichen des Plakats auf Social Media diskutiert hat...
Die Mods hier sind meiner bisherigen Erfahrung nach leider viel zu überarbeitet, um Meldungen wirklich zu prüfen, und reagieren eher reflexartig auf Schlagwörter.

And so everytime Europe does any small movement towards independent infrastructure stories pop up by the dozen (as if it wasn't obviously coordinated) about how it's all impossible, everything is lost and would also cost an insanillion € to build...
And the small minority of organisations and businesses actually interest in indepencence (and not heavily bribed lobbied by US big tech) just do it. While the majority still tries to scam people with US clouds licensed by EU companies as an EU solution.
