  • I just finished the newest season of Only Murders in the Building. I liked it better than the last two seasons.

About to jump into the new season of Stranger Things.

Oh, and football. Chiefs might miss the playoffs. There's really no front runners in the NFL.

In college, Miami jumped Notre Dame when neither played, dropping ND out of the playoffs, and now they're declining ANY bowl. Also, literally everything about Michigan's head coach over the last 24 hours. And with JMU and Tulane both getting autobids, I'm curious if the playoffs will get more revisions next year. College ball is like a soapy reality show for men.

  • I liked that show a lot as is. But it definitely had a lot of potential with more season.

  • He has done it so much and gotten away with it, it's been normalized.

January 6th (aka, the insurrection) should have been a wake up call for everyone. A lot of people don't care about their country or God or whatever else they claim. Many just care about community.

  • Am I going to have to get a bumper sticker saying I don't support that shit? Dammit.

  • I love the show. It's pretty perfect from an entertainment perspective.

They lean a bit more on the wacky (but brutal) aspect of the games than some people wanted. But for me, it's hard for me to imagine it being done any better. I've had one major gripe with the show, and even then I understand what they're going for.

  • America first is literally just progressivism. Help America, then help everyone else.

The Republican "America first" has always been fucking over everyone so nobody notices they're fucking over us as well.

  • I can't force you to care enough to Google that shit yourself. But then if you cared, you wouldn't be peddling lies protecting a pedophile.

They're official documents. Look it up if you care or ignore it.

  • I have a simple question for you, have you read the depositions alleging first hand that he violently raped a 14 year old?

  • My thoughts exactly. I'm a console gamer. So a straightforward all-in-one box is great.

  • I don't know how to react to this. On one hand, Trump is a pedophile. I've read the depositions, I fully believe he violently raped that 14 year old. So the email saying he knew is just kind of old news and not even the worst of it.

On the other hand, it's still just as horrific as it was before. And if someone sees this as some kind of damning evidence that nothing else rose to the level of, then I'm just glad that they are coming to that realization.

  • So, to play Devil's advocate, the tone is what makes it feel like the future. While Next Generation would have lots of 20th century, U.S. culture brought up, it was always from a "antiquity" POV.

The article actually mentions Beastie Boys used in Beyond. But that's actually more in line with how they would have handled it before.

  • Heroes abandoned the Irish girl in the deadly virus timeline. It was obviously going to be a plot line and it was never brought up again.

  • Not really. Withholding compensation only impacts those with the least amount of outside money. In other words, the most corrupt would be able to leverage it against the least corrupt.

I think it's bullshit that "keep the government open" hasn't been made permanent yet. Same with paying our debts.

  • Getting rid of the bad apples and he's not even mayor yet.

  • Maybe before. But it's gotten pretty damn good at detecting anomalies and issues. And every time a human QA validates the info, it gets better.

I'd still leave it to a human to fix the code though. I suspect that letting AI write the code would make it unworkable for people in the future. But maybe it can write code in a straightforward way to be managed. I don't know. It's advancing pretty fast.

  • From a tech POV, that makes a lot of sense. Use AI to find the needle in the haystack. Then let a person validate. That's probably one of the better uses for it. Although I don't love AI for any of the broad reasons to not like AI.

  • I've heard conflicting reports of Superman being profitable vs not. If I'm reading this correctly, it's actually just saying the revenue timing was in Q3 compared to the costs being in previous quarters, right?

In other words, quarters with more developed are going to have higher costs and quarters with more releases will have more revenue.

  • I dropped my Premium plan when they upped the price. But even before I was waiting until they had a sale before subscribing.

  • Actually she was just sharing the fan theory for Signs. /jk
