  • How tf. I do this all the time and want to jump off a cliff. I didn't know this existed.

  • Nobody is trying to screw these fools.

  • This. Plus offline games. All the online micro transaction bullshit is pathetic.

  • Doing the lords work! 🫶

  • Up to date mesa is in regular mint but only sort of. You have to manually go bleeding edge if you want by installing mesa drivers manually. Base Mint is a few versions behind on purpose, stability and I would say your kernel version makes a bigger difference in the end given how good mint is I recommend 6.14 kernel especially on fresh hardware, you can change your kernel version anytime in the update manager preferences, 6.8 is old but stable. 6.14 is newer, faster in gaming. Unless your on brand new, brand new released hardware this a non issue truly.

Most people will be fine with stock mint and you can't go wrong much with either. I game on stock mint full time! Windows only for BF6/dual boot. It's all I knew for several years was mint before going to NIXos and fedora and more.. My hardware is 7900xt 7600x. Full AMD on my rigs though I've built intel Nvidia.. I've built dozens of PCs/laptops/servers as I build and sell them. You honestly can't go wrong with either version but all I am saying is that if you hate bugs, updates ocassionally doing odd things especially to steam and proton. LMDE. I've been on mint for years this is just my 2 cents. I also value not fucking with my OS anymore I dislike command line memorization. I'm done tinkering and fixing shit all the time and prefer GUI or shit to just work ideally I'll trouble shoot for a few minutes then I stop, no more days tied up over dumb shit. With windows or Linux. LMDE is my choice. Best of luck.

  • I suggest LMDE not regular mint. Normal mint updates often and ocassionally with bugs while rare and mostly I see for gaming they do happen. Stability and reliability are king. So LMDE aka Linux mint debian edition. Its entirely the same as normal mint made by the same people but it's rock solid unlike Ubuntu version.

Sincerely I've used both to game and daily pc usage even work. LMDE no questions.

  • Guilty as charged!

  • Internal temp is 120 not 165 so you ate it partially cooked?

  • Ok ok some of these gets cheezy but fr I feel wildly attacked on this one. This us true ADHD 😁

  • Fent lean...

  • Not all . ml people are crazy cases. Its not guilty by association. I joined ML early in its life with the Reddit exodus because it was the developer instance and I thought this would have more programming and tech people on this instance.

  • All good. Shipping is an option. But shop around and try to pull an XT model or a 6900xt can be sometimes had for 6800xt amount. I know because I just scored a 6900xt for 345usd.

  • I'm unsure what your paying and where your located to be exact but I can hunt around for you locally. We have pretty good GPU prices around here. East coast USA. 6800 is a decent card but for the cost I bet we can get a 6800xt or maybe even a 6900xt. For what I paid for my last 6800xt I was able to get a 6900xt for 20USD more which is a much more capable card. Do you have the PSU to run a beefy GPU? I got my 7900xt about 350 to 400 dollars off new and it was open box only still new.

  • Interesting. Usually AMD gets better with age and stability is much better than Nvidia. Although raw hardware performance Nvidia usually wins but the headaches usually aren't worth it when you play little of everything especially indie games on steam. IMO.

  • This sounds like driver clash. 6900xt will walk all over a 1080ti. 9070xt is good but for the price you can get a 7900xt much cheaper and gain vram over 1 to 15 frames.

  • What's your budget on a gpu? I seen your other post same as this one. Secondly your running into most likely driver issues nvidia truly us miserable to game on especially Linux gaming. I've built dozens and dozens of computers. I generally build full AMD rigs if someone wants to game hassle free. That being said before you go spending on a 6800 it's better to know your goal as in frames, stability, hassle your willing to deal with, and lastly budget. You certainly won't regret going full AMD and the 6800 is a decent card. Have you tried switching to different drivers of nvidia? Like 570 open or other numbers manually within your OS?

  • Jack black saxophone 🎷 solo 😭😂

  • Danner boots are top notch and feel broke in from the box. Can't recommend them enough for concrete walking and hard waterproof work days. Their leather and tennis shoe type in sole are quality. You get the slightly raised sole but inside they are flatter unlike a cowboy boot or work boot. They feel like wearing sneakers rather than boots. Top notch!
