  • What does sub human trash have to do with the trans community? That's not a slur against trans people, but a slur against someone who has given up their human identity.

  • Right, so can we all agree to just refer to the sub human trash as sub human trash? We can leave gender identity out of the matter altogether, since it's an unimportant aspect.

  • I'm fine with super dehumanizing language for school shooters, but it doesn't need to be offensive to anyone else. How about everyone come together and refer to school shooters as sub human trash? Whatever marginalized group sub human trash belongs to otherwise is/should be far less a part of their identity once they start shooting kids.

  • Human dignity does not apply to someone who targets and kills innocent people. Who cares what this person is called. They are a deranged murderer and don't deserve to be called anything else.

  • No it just wasn't very hot this year there.

  • 94 in Wisconsin, 97 in Michigan, 98 in Vermont, 97 in Ohio.

  • Don't waste your time going to bat for Biden. He was very obviously not fit for office anymore, and the democrats ruined their chances of winning by keeping him in there until it was too late.

  • Mifepristone is an abortion drug. It's use for birth control is off label.

  • Well sure, it reduces risk of transmission to you, and then your transmission to kids, and subsequent transmissions to vulnerable adults. But how much does it reduce the risk. When you are talking about such low risks, then you need to start considering low risks associated with taking the vaccine in the first place. What's the value, and is it worth it. At this point in the pandemic, covid is basically a non issue, so there isn't sufficient urgency to justify emergency approval anymore.

  • The journal article also shows that the affect diminished over time, presumably because the covid variant reduced in severity compared to early versions. This reduces the affect on the population and reduces the need for a vaccine. Especially a vaccine meant for a group that was never high risk to begin with.

  • Better than I expected, tbh, but these aren't very compelling conclusions. There are several major weaknesses in the study, and it's only one among many that reached different conclusions. They acknowledge all of this and conclude that more study is needed. What i get from it is that there might be (may have been) some detriment to society from covid, and vaccines could possibly reduce that detriment slightly. With the benefit being pretty weak at this point in the trajectory of covid, it's not surprising that the fda isn't renewing the emergency use approval. It certainly doesn't warrant the hand wringing from the guy I originally responded to.

  • What are you basing that on? That's a pretty strong statement...

  • The good news is that her risk is very very low.

  • Ours was the health teacher. It was an open secret that he put the hot girls right up front even though he made it very clear that seating was random. He also enjoyed sex ed topics way too much. I don't think he ever got caught, but he was very weird.

  • I found pastors at number 3, behind teachers and music teachers.

  • Not sure why the knee jerk hate on this one. I like the idea of opening up academic articles and other materials for free and open use.

  • I think the big beautiful bill was a bigger betrayal to the Trump faithful than anything war related. Epstein files are the biggest so far though.

  • Oh fun, I remember this quote from during covid.
