  • MXRoute is what I use as my domain's email server and it's good enough. The included browser email clients (it offers multiple) are sort of trash but if you just use your own it's perfect. It's pretty cheap too

  • alwayshasbeen.jpg

  • even though it would shift things left, which he hasn't thought about and likely won't acknowledge

I keep hearing this and, ignoring the fact that it annoys me that we're even entertaining the idea of annexation, it doesn't make much sense. For one, there's no way we'd be given the right to vote; And two, Canada will be a bombed out warzone for the far foreseeable future. It's more likely the USA will break apart before Canadians accept being American. Even if we pretended that we wouldn't call on NATO for help, Canadians would go guerrilla until the last Canadian is standing

I think Americans underestimate the level of pride Canadians take in not being American.

rural Alberta is a different story though

  • No sorry I think you're mistaken. Canada is a national security threat

  • The only countries capable of doing that are already getting exactly what they want

  • One thing that's super important is to enable container nesting in the LXC settings. You can't run docker otherwise. (Besides that one setting, it's definitely as simple as that) And very much agreed @ the docker support in PM. That'd be the dream.

Have fun with the testing though!

  • It's kind of redundant but I run Docker in minimal debian LXCs. I like the speed of LXCs but I still love the reproducibility of Docker so I combine them lol. I do run regular VMs with docker for systems that are doing more than one thing

  • Agreed, it carries very little weight

  • But I've been told by American lemmy users that it's not serious and that it's just a distraction, and that I'm a moron for taking it seriously

  • As a developer and not a sysadmin, I refuse to learn anything more than docker. It's good enough for me 😤

Edit: on a more serious note, proxmox with docker containers has been more than enough for me

  • That was a good week :(

  • Can I ask why?

  • is it ok to treat non trans kids for gender affirming care

Absolute yes, puberty blockers weren't even invented for trans kids. Early puberty is a thing and a problem that's treated using puberty blockers, the same that a trans person would use.

  • Gender affirming care for minors doesn't mean surgery. I'm not sure if you're under the impression that's what this is banning but if it is, it's wrong.

What this is banning, and what every similar ban is banning is things like puberty blockers which are reversible and are only effective before puberty (obviously). Preventing or delaying puberty is REALLY important because it makes fully transitioning infinitely easier later on as adults.

All bans like this are doing is making the lives of trans people much harder under the guise of "preventing unreversible operations" when that's not even what they're banning.

  • I'm not American so I could be way off but didn't they try but were blocked by Republicans? At the very least they reduced the count of inmates to only the more complicated ones (ie. where do they get sent to, what do we, do we completely fried this guys brain, etc)

  • why

  • Myself and a lot of other Canadians have already started avoiding American goods, even before these tarrifs were set to go into place

  • Canada could start ignoring American intellectual property rights, or shutting off power exports to places like NY.

  • I don't understand how the stock is STILL so high
