  • This really lends credence to the "theory" that democrats intentionally run shit ass candidates on purpose to lose. They got a double whammy with this guy being the "progressive left" and claming to be a communist. More ammo for the "extremes are just bad, we should only run liberals to the right of Reagan."

How fucking low does the bar need to be here? Not having a prominently placed Nazi chest tattoo should be an absurdly low bar to clear. Not in Amerikkka I suppose.

  • Anyone who has this bullshit on their house is a jabroni of the highest order. I fucking hate this surveillance state bullshit. I will not associate with ring camera havers and I will make sure any person I know who is thinking about opting into this shit should get their head checked.

  • Hell yeah I love Tempo and its great to see it getting updates again. Thanks for your work on this!

  • I've never completed the main quest line in any Elder Scrolls game.

The majority of my playtime in Oblivion was spent breaking into NPC houses and stealing their shit. I'd stalk targets based on who had the most valuables in their pockets when I'd see them wandering in the cities. I basically played the game as a stealing simulator, only ever completing the Thieves guild quest line and the Dark Brotherhood line when I wanted to be add some murder to my thieving.

I don't think this is uncommon with the Elder Scrolls games.

  • If you can swing it, home gym best gym.

I realized a few years ago that while I do enjoy working out, I do dread getting started at times, so I needed to reduce the friction of getting started (commuting to gym, waiting for equipment, etc) or else I would find any excuse to skip days. Not so with home gym.

  • I played Bocce at a retirement community once while I was visiting someone else's grandpa, and at the end of that day I had 4 grandpas. I went from zero grandpas to 4, thanks bocce!

You can get to know people pretty well playing that game for half a day.

  • Me and my partner just acquired two commuter style bikes and we've been having a blast realizing how much shit we can actually bike to rather than drive. We've been getting our groceries exclusively by bike the past three weekends and it's seriously opened my eyes to how wonderful and feasible biking can be. I finally understand why bike people are so passionate about these issues.

I feel like I've finally emerged from a carbrained fog that has plagued me for decades now.

  • Credible, but unfortunately false reports. What we got here is a chupacabra with a automatic weapon!

  • Today is a good day! Never thought Charlie Kirk would do something that would make me so happy, but better late than never I suppose.

  • I was having a crappy day, but this news really cheered me up.

    RIP in piss bozo.

  • Seeing Fetterman so high up on this list has me dying lmao.

  • I expected absolute dogshit out of this remake and was very pleasantly surprised to find its actually very good.

It's really just MGS3 with a new (optional) camera system. It's rigidly accurate to the PS2 game, which is both awesome and annoying if you're coming from playing MGSV and used to that games gameplay.

Its an adjustment at first getting used to the new character models, and after the Virtuous mission I got over any feelings of anyone looking "off".

Played through it over the weekend on PC and experienced no serious performance issues. 4k 60fps.

Is it revealed Big Boss was the progenitor of Delta Force and his evil turn coincides with the rampant abuses committed by the unit?

    Yes!

  • Wasn't Florida ground zero for super gonorrhea? I wonder what sort of super disease will be born from this.

Florida should return to the sea.

  • Thanks for putting this together! This is an excellent write up and is super informative! I'm already using Navidrome + Tempo with Lidarr for my music library, but since the database issues with Lidarr popped up a few months ago I haven't bothered adding new stuff.

I had no idea Explo was a thing, it's just what I've been hoping existed. I'm going to try and get it integrated into my set up.

  • Notesnook is great, but it isn't FOSS

    Permanently Deleted

  • I've only dabbled in emulation to play things on my phone, so I only really have suggestions for Gameboy Advance games, but here they are:

    Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

    Golden Sun 1 and 2

    Harvest Moon

    Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green

  • Lizards are so fucking cool. This fella looks nice.

  • I do not share in this optimism. We're talking about the American public here.

  • Yes. I had a buddy who started taking it to ween away from his alcoholic tendency to enjoy a 5th of whiskey every night, and he quickly became addicted.

He told me the withdrawals felt worse than what he was dealing with from the alcohol (though he was getting hit with both), ended up losing his job and spiraling into a recluse who spent all his time in bed or doing kratom. He eventually got help and got better.

There's this idea that its a "safe" drug, and posts encouraging its use in threads like these as some sort of alternative to getting drunk don't help that perception. Its very addictive and the withdrawal symptoms suck just as much if not more than with booze, although I don't think you can die from Kratom withdrawal the way you can from alcohol. Someone fact check me on that.

Edit: What makes it dangerous is how quickly you can become physically dependent on Kratom.
