  • My friend delivered for Amazon for awhile and he had a regular delivery of 50 pounds of dog food that he had to carry up several flights of stairs. I was thinking about him, and all the times in my life when an unexpected fiver would have been useful, so I'm glad you commented.

  • Dexmethylphenidate aka Focalin made me very, very spendy. I didn't even realize the connection at first. Methylphenidate never had that effect at all. I was surprised to find that known side effects of some dopamine agonists (used to treat Parkinson's disease) include compulsive gambling, shopping, and obsession with sex. Not sure exactly where I'm going with this, but maybe extend yourself some grace and compassion because it really might not be a matter of will power. Frickin dopamine. I swear.
