  • My best advice is start small. Try walking for 30 minutes and work your way up. The hardest part of working out is consistency. It doesn't really matter what you do but just make sure you do something everyday. Dont let yourself make excuses. If you can form the habit of doing something everyday your 99% of the way there.

  • Im going to have to go with the Ninja here, had one for three years and I use it frequently with no problem. I might have an older cheaper one though as there's no magnets to worry about as others noted.

I know people with a lot of different ninja products and everyone seems to love them. I dont have anything beyond the blender but I am impressed. I personally will try other stuff from them.

  • This is the guy that wrote Task Manager for Windows back in the day. Hes an old Microsoft Windows developer. So even if he used AI id be interested in seeing what he made.

  • Based on the article it appears this recall is for their gas cars. Something with the starter....

  • Probably down voted because there is a pattern of Russian state media (look at source) and officials overstating capabilities for domestic and international audiences, sometimes masking technical failures or limited deployment with grandiose announcements.

This can be seen more definively in Ukraine. Had Russia actually had the weapons and technology they claimed then the Ukraine war would have actually been three days and not on going 2+ years later.

  • A big under rated source is your local library. Mine has a few hundred dvds and blu-rays and they add a few more every month.

  • The vulnerability, carrying a severity rating of 10 out of a possible 10, resides in the AMI MegaRAC, a widely used firmware package that allows large fleets of servers to be remotely accessed and managed even when power is unavailable or the operating system isn't functioning. These motherboard-attached microcontrollers, known as baseboard management controllers (BMCs), give extraordinary control over servers inside data centers.

  • It seems just for people in the US. So hopefully the rest of us will be fine.

  • Yes a very out landish crazy claim...people would rather blame fsd then themselves... Definitely not click bait articles. You can Google it easily if you'd like, same thing about insurance data. Though I doubt you will. It's easier to live in the echo chamber.

I personally don't have the bandwidth to get into fights with randos on the Internet or get emotionally hurt by every article I read on the internet. You want to live in your echo chamber please go ahead. You want to try and challenge yourself by being open to contradictory ideas or beliefs - great! Either way I'm good.

  • No, let's read all the words, -insurance data and rates. O sorry, what's your evidence besides click bait articles? I'll wait...

  • The cars record basically everything. Check out the insurance data. There's a reason there isn't an insurance premium for having an fsd enabled car. If it caused a significant amount of accidents as you claim there you would have to pay higher insurance with that option enabled. I hate to shatter your world view but these articles are click bait. The article about an idiot motorist lying about using fsd isn't going to get the clicks or internet rage and engagement.

You could use common sense or continue to live in your echo chamber. As they say ignorance is bliss.

  • I'm sorry but even if it was in fsd mode who would let their car drive onto train tracks? Almost every time these stories come up it was the person driving. But it's easier to blame fsd then look like an idiot. I also have never met a person in real life who actually believed teslas were truly full self driving full hands off the wheel. Especially with multiple warning screens when you activate fsd telling you it's not actually fsd. I guess let nature do its work.

The truly scary thing is plenty of people drive on train tracks all the time. Tesla or not.

  • The way your describing this isn't quite clear. I think you have something crossed. There are a series of videos by Lawrence Systems on YouTube where he walks through basic to complicated PFsense configurations. I think it's worth watching. What your trying to do is setup two vlans I think? They probably don't have access to the WAN which you need to allow as this is not the default.

It seems complicated but making firewall rules makes sense once you get the hang of it. The best part of home labbing is learning though it usually requires breaking some stuff in the meantime. All part of the journey. You'll get there, have fun.

  • Extensions are:

    • SEMRush Rank (extension ID: idbhoeaiokcojcgappfigpifhpkjgmab) and PI Rank (ID: ccgdboldgdlngcgfdolahmiilojmfndl), which call the URL "rank.trellian.]com" over plain HTTP
    • Browsec VPN (ID: omghfjlpggmjjaagoclmmobgdodcjboh), which uses HTTP to call an uninstall URL at "browsec-uninstall.s3-website.eu-central-1.amazonaws.]com" when a user attempts to uninstall the extension

MSN New Tab (ID: lklfbkdigihjaaeamncibechhgalldgl) and MSN Homepage, Bing Search & News (ID: midiombanaceofjhodpdibeppmnamfcj), which transmit a unique machine identifier and other details over HTTP to "g.ceipmsn.]com"

    • DualSafe Password Manager & Digital Vault (ID: lgbjhdkjmpgjgcbcdlhkokkckpjmedgc), which constructs an HTTP-based URL request to "stats.itopupdate.]com" along with information about the extension version, user's browser language, and usage "type"
  • I think it's really just as simple as they are different and people just don't like things that are different. Compounding the fact is a lot of people don't have any first hand experience interacting with a trans person and so believe what theyre told through their favorite media source.

  • Instead of taking a minute to just read the entire email, they decided to go immediately to the internet to complain. Then when people explained to them multiple times what is going on they decided to argue with them instead of ya know reading the email. The internet is alive and well.

  • Yeah if you already have a lifetime pass then essentially nothing changes. They also did the right thing about giving people a pretty good heads up to purchase a lifetime pass before they raised the price.

Your users may have gotten the notice (my family didn't) but they can ignore it if the server owner has a lifetime pass.

  • Not to say I'm not annoyed and they definitely should not be doing this except for their enterprise line. Would I buy another Synology again, no definitely not.

However most "consumers" buying a NAS are already pretty tech savvy. When this issue happened to me I googled it and found and applied the script in 15 or so minutes. Run the script essentially once a year or so when major updates come along. Hasn't been a huge issue. The issue will be if /when they block this script or other fixes.
