    I agree. If you don't vote, then on their spreadsheets you're part of the statistic labelled "apolitical". You're talking about sending a message to influence electoralism. The message you're sending is that you're a centrist. So I'll take you at that message and call you a centrist.

What I have a problem with is turbolibs going into anarchist spaces to post ragebait designed to stir up infighting over whether we should strategically withhold our votes to try and influence the democratic nomination, when there are actual problems facing the most vulnerable in our communities. You and your liberal alt accounts are trying to convince the rest of Lemmy that whether you vote is the most important issue facing the communist movement.

  • You electoralists have been trying the same schtick for 100 years. In 1931 it was "after Hitler, our turn!" It didn't work.

    You cannot change the system by withholding your vote, it's not designed to allow that. Your vote is only good for preventing change while you focus on direct action to overthrow the state. Quit focusing all your efforts on the Democrats and start focusing some effort on the soup kitchens, the community gardens, the workshops, and the neighbourhood watches. Those associations can do some tangible good now, and can be turned into supply lines when we have enough mass for the revolution.
