In Thailand I paid 20x the amount of a citizen to enter a national park. Camping was free for citizens, but cost money for foreigners (I forget how much).
A resident hunting license in California costs $62.90 and non-resident is $219.81.
In Washington state a non-resident elk tag costs 10x what a resident pays.
Other countries already charge a premium for foreigners to visit their national parks. This is not new. People who live outside the country (whatever country) do not support park infrastructure with taxes and therefore should pay a premium to enter.
This is no different than a non-resident hunting or fishing license.
" "In a world full of noise, hear the love choir sing/Together in unity, we're reclaiming our wings," the singer croons. "So sign a petition/come join the fight/let's axe the taxes/bring wrongs to the right."
The song, "Uplift the Dream," is one of 20 tracks on an AI-generated album specifically designed to rally support for eliminating Ohio's property taxes. "
When I was a server I hated when people stacked their own plates. First off, I found it performative. Secondly it messed with my system. Thirdly it usually produced a 20lb pile of dishes covered in queso, half eaten burritos, and guacamole that was impossible to carry.
Corey Doctorow's podcast Understood: Who broke the internet? does an amazing job of explaining this. It's only like 5 episodes and worth everyone's time.
I really like OwlBear Rodeo. It is system agnostic simple tabletop. There is a learning curve but it's pretty easy. It's also great on tablets and decent on phones.
The best part is that there are a lot of 3rd party extensions to dial in your specific game mechanics. I've been playing Dragonbane and it has some funky mechanics that someone else made work well in OBR.
Having not read the article: probably. The magazine tube should still be fine as long as it's a pump action shotgun because firing another round requires manually cycling the action.
I've been using FUTO which is free and open source, has pretty good gesture typing, very good voice to text, and does not connect to the internet. I'm happy with it, but I'm also an idiot and most things make me happy.
Edit: I am wrong about freedom and open source. Don't listen to me. I still like the keyboard though.
The current argument is "you give your SSN, address, salary etc to the bank, your employer, the DMV, etc. They all want something from you. The world's richest man doesn't need your money, so why are you afraid of giving him all your information?"
It's basically "if you've done nothing wrong you've got nothing to hide" but with your identity and life savings and social security.
Yeah, that's straight up devil horns. The original meaning was to ward off the devil, but she doesn't strike me as traditionalist Christian. Very strong "what the fuck is this" vibes. I'm confused.
Nice! I've yet to play BitD but it looks super cool. I'm down to play if we can make schedules work!
