This is kinda already being done. They're using helicopters with aimable machineguns/autocannons to shoot down drones from the side.
shitass idea number 2 : a lot of times, tanks get neutrolized by its crew abandoning it when it gets immobilezed. most anti tank weaponry have only penetrative power. they rely on hitting and exploding inside shells. when crew is abandonning a autoloader tank, they will press a button and tank will shoot all the shells, high explosive shells first, to a safe distance after few minutes. maybe add a device that safely burns fuel outside too
Also kinda being done. This is the concept behind the blowout panels on the M1 Abrams. The ammo is stored in a compartment separate from the main compartment. There's an armored door that opens to get the shells inside the proper part of the tank. If the shells in the blowout compartment explode the explosion blows out the blowout panels and is channelled outwards. The problem is that those blowout panels need to be less armored than the rest of the tank (so they'll actually blowout instead of blow in) and they're vulnerable to FPV drones.
If I am playing Chess with you, and I call "Checkmate" ... The game is over, right? I won. Or do you think you should be able to undo your last move after you lost and try something else? And then try again, and again, hoping that somehow you can come up with something that avoids the checkmate?
This is very common when teaching people chess, you let the learner undo a move after they see your response. It's a great way to learn and is pretty commonly allowed as an advantage when playing against less experienced players.
Don't worry too much about missing things, it's not that kind of game. Feel free to try vibe-based and experimental stuff, it's not a difficult game. I would avoid the wiki until you feel you need it. However, here are things I would have liked to know when I started.
Watch TV every day. You can get recipes from the cooking show and useful info from the other channels. Although this is less important now apparently.
You can give people 2 gifts a week, one per day. Everybody resets on the new week.
Seasons have 28 days, not 30. Don't plant things that you won't be able to harvest by day 28.
I would recommend the four corners farm, even for single-player. Each of the corners has it's own specialty so you get a little bit of everything.

Edit: Somebody else mentioned that if you don't like a specific part of the gameplay (fishing, etc.) you don't have to do it. I would like to emphasize this.
