  • I’m imagining a t-Rex with a high capacity O2 tank strapped to its back, and a little tiny human size oxygen mask covering like a single nostril..

    But oh no! The O2 is low and it needs to change the tank, but the itty bitty rexy arms can’t reach so it’s just spinning in circles trying to get the strap off. It’s getting dizzy now from a lack of oxygen and, well, spinning. Eventually it just sort of falls over and maybe some other Dino comes and changes the tank for it (altruism isn’t just a human trait!). That Dino sighs and says “you do this every day. Just ask for help, dingus.”.

  • Meanwhile I put my hands in my sweatshirt pockets (zip-up sweatshirt, not pull-over) and flap them like wings while slow-running at them, yelling and stomping each step. Basically do what they do, but I’m bigger.

    I look insane, but they fuck right off, since it’s all signals they understand.

    I used to work at a place that had a sitting pond right against the building with walkways across it and stuff and that was the only way out to the back parking lot.. there were always geese.. I got fed up and tried that once when I was having a bad day, and it both worked and made me feel a ton better.

    Granted, I compost everything I can so it’s mostly just plastic that can’t be recycled, and then my recycling that goes every other week (for which I have two bins because I often forgot to take them out on the correct week, and a month of recycling definitely doesn’t fit in a single bin)

    But by the time I actually go to take out my trash, it really needs to go out. And it’ll still take 2-3 weeks to actually get it out there on time..

  • Omg I would literally kill myself if I tried this. Not on purpose or anything, but frankly I’m amazed I haven’t yet killed myself. My stairs fucking suck.

    They are old original stairs and they turn a corner halfway. Where they turn, there is a four-stair fall in the inner corner if your foot slips. Meanwhile on the far side it’s unclear how much further they go, because they aren’t particularly logically shaped, or even.

    Maybe a warning for his employees? Data erasure? Lockdown for offices? Copying of security footage to an offsite location?

  • I get why people would want to keep honeybees, I just wish they could understand why some of us with land/small farms/homesteads would rather support local pollinator species instead..

    Like sure honey would be nice, but the only way I’d be willing to keep them is if they only have access to enclosed greenhouses, to protect local species, and frankly that’s probably too much work for me. I want the local pollinators to thrive because that’s zero work for me. Plus they actually have a place in the ecosystem.
