It shouldn’t be, but German Auto makers are extremely slow to evolve due to their ridiculous bureaucracy. They’ve had ages to get on top of it and ignored it and they should pay the price for that, but they’re too big to fail for their countries economies. They’re definitely beginning to waver in the face of competition from china, so this comes across as the EU giving them a final respite to really start competing. Then again, could just exacerbate their complacency, we’ll have to see whichever way it goes.
In private messages outside of work, yes, it comes across passive aggressive and is a hard stop to a conversation. In work context though, it’s pretty common on teams as an acknowledgement, though I still think it’s nicer to use like a heart react then actually reply.
Greenland, as an autonomous territory of Denmark, is an overseas country and territory (OCT) of the EU. As such it receives funding and has many agreements with the EU. This will drive a huge wedge between the USA and the EU. Perhaps more than anything else he’s currently doing. Denmark is also a NATO country and so who knows what would happen if the US essentially attacked the territory of another NATO member, it’s unprecedented and also likely why Trump wants to withdraw from NATO.
I’d like to think it’s a kind of zero approval gambit, he was once a dem I heard. But I think it’s much more likely he’s literally a Russian asset and the question is how much damage can the American system of checks and balances prevent before the next elections.
The average use case for the majority of truck owners in the US does not involve towing. Light trucks are driven an average of around 30 miles per day, which is why I say for most people they’re actually in a pretty good position, other than being pretty expensive vehicles of course. If you own a caravan or something and are doing regular massive road trips, you are the minority that these vehicles still don’t cater to.
The Silverado EV and F150 lightning seem pretty decent from the specs, but towing anything they still seriously suck. But for most people they’re actually already pretty good… Unlike the cyber truck.
To be fair, this one is common on Facebook because it’s the stupid top auto reply thing that is way too easy to fat finger when browsing listings
My wife was undiagnosed until she was 26. When she started on medication there was no immediate difference that she noticed. She had always been very good academically and did well in high school, uni and work so she was torn about whether she really even needed the meds given how well she got by. It became pretty clear over time as she started though that it really helped with preventing her becoming overwhelmed and helped her stay on task much better. Now she wonders just how well she could have done in high school and uni had she been diagnosed earlier.
All that said, ADHD is different for everyone so your mileage may vary. Give it a little time and follow the doctor’s orders and see what works for you. We went through a few different medications before finding one that really hit the spot!
Very true, here in Australia we get the day off to go vote, which is the least you’d expect considering voting is mandatory. I’m privileged to live in a country where it is so effortless to vote and I can trust the system to work. Not getting a public holiday or making early voting early easy is a huge barrier to entry.
Because there aren’t really any consequences for the democrats… The ones in safe seats keep their jobs which are basically useless for a few years, what a cushy job. There is no moderating force in a two party system, there’s no external threat. One party can drive the public to outrage, and then lose the election and everyone chills out only for it to be replaced by an equally dysfunctional and regressive government. Voting Dems is only delaying the inevitable collapse, voting R just accelerates it. America needs to realise that a centuries old political system just isn’t cutting it any more. Two party systems are meant to force the sides to converge on the median, so you get two very moderate parties, but now one is moving further and further right and the other seems to being dragged along with it. At least ranked choice voting might be a start.
What confuses me with this take, is that you guys get two options over there, so how was Trump a better choice? In a battle of lesser evils you still pick the lesser evil. Such an unbelievably flawed democratic system the US has.
Surely the maintenance of such problems would be very easy though, given it’s already on rails you could run a carriage with washing machinery underneath to clean these occasionally. Interested to see how serious the deterioration over time is due to the grime.
This isn’t surprising news. He’s always been an asshole but it seems pretty widely agreed that he lost his filter somewhere around COVID so the reporting of 2022 isn’t a shock at all. In fact I’m shocked to find out it’s only since 2022?!

Every other EV I know has instant boot up, Volvo/polestar, Hyundai, rivian etc. I was under the impression this was pretty Universal for EVs. A huge amount of current model year cars in a similar price range also have remote keyless control functionality, even ICE cars.
Centre stands need to be way more sturdy to hold it up. You can buy aftermarket VESA centre stands though if you can’t wall mount it.
Standard resin becomes very weak at even low temperatures. There are special heat tolerant resins you can buy though.
