  • The catch is that he did not appoint by ideology. His appointments were mainly based on the guys doing work for poor people, for migrants, and on them doing their jobs in the global south.

    Quite a few of these he made cardinals are somewhat conservative in their views, especially regarding sexuality

  • I see that you have a very good quota of comments that you get on every lemmy post you make. I dont think that's true for every poster, especially when posting to niche lemmy communities.

    But yes: of course the lemmy format invites comments way more than the microblogging format of mastodon

    And I think the added benefit is that it subconsciously reminds the viewers of the original series, evoking positive feelings :P

  • I mean, in microblogging a lot of posts will have no discussions simply because thats the nature of microblogging. But if you saw no interaction and discussion under posts of people who have lots of followers, then certainly yes.

  • It means that if you see a post, you will finally see all replies and interactions to that post. Currently this is not working.

  • Lemmy is programmed in a way so it actively looks for communities/groups. But not individual posters. which is why lemmy can only display mastodon and pixelfed individual posts if they have been posted into groups.

  • Mastodon mainly only looks like there is no interaction happening because of their federating logic. Which is being worked on to be fixed sometimes this year

  • Der Unterschied ist die Ethik des ganzen: Wer wird wie durch das Veröffentlichen der Kopien geschädigt? Schauspielern ist es blunzn ob der Film/die Serie pirateriert wird oder nicht. Das tut höchstens Executives weh (und die wissen idRegel dass in the long run es für die Popularität der Show gut ist). Das ist hier anders.
