  • Definitely check out the first Darkwood! It’s story, atmosphere, and sound design are all amazing (here’s a good video essay if you don’t plan on playing). The lore stays fascinating if you want to do an even deeper dive. Zero jumpscares. I don’t want to say what the game’s about because it’s best going in not knowing anything.

    Ehhh. Most will have their driver’s license, so it’s kinda pointless unless it’s accepted by other countries for international flight.

    It will also be possible to use the Digital ID feature for age and identity verification in apps, online, and in stores, according to Apple.

  • Relevant, but there was an incident in the news where a Californian cop murdered a couple in their home. It later came out during investigation and audits that he failed his psychological exam. The same thing with many others just in that department - failing the exam and still being active duty. So the sheriff’s dept was under fire and had to re-test people and strip their badge/gun if they failed. But the problem is likely very pervasive amongst law enforcement. This whole sweeping mental health under a rug.

  • This is great to hear! They’re impressively massive animals, often called lobos del rio (river wolves) and only found living in the Amazon Rainforest rivers and streams. Sadly they’re having a hard time due to historically hunting and now habitat loss.

  • I think in California that real estate is very valuable and these property developments are mostly modern, so it’s well worth it for real estate developers to make these changes if the areas have enough foot traffic. There’s nothing worse in California than paying millions of dollars for property and then having retail sit vacant for potentially years.
