  • Not just that, but also military power. Europe has six aircraft carriers and more then enough ships to form large battle groups. Even better shipyards able to produce a lot more. Also a powerfull airforce and army, which absolutly is able to make a huge difference in any US China war.

  • The Volkswagen Group had a global decline of 0.5% compared to 2024. It is also worth noting that the US was a worse market then China for them. Mercedes-Benz is getting slaughter though, but that is to be expected, when you fail the EV transition. Stellantis is a nightmare anyway. Renault Group is actually doing pretty well, but is focused on the European market already. BMW also saw increased sales last year and they are doing pretty well with EVs.

    So the European car industry has its issues, but it is probably going to survive. However EVs have less parts then ICE cars, so jobs will be cut.

  • Wir leben halt in Zeit des Wandels und ganz ehrlich man muss sich immer wieder bewusst machen, dass der Wandel auch gut sein kann. Zum Beispiel hat der Krieg in der Ukraine die Energiewende in Deutschland und ganz Europa beschleunigt. Soetwas wie Habecks Heizhammer wäre sonst nie durchgekommen.

    Die Wirtschaftskrise in Deutschland liegt vorallem daran, dass auf E-Autos umgestellt wird. Im ersten Halbjahr des letzten Jahres waren tatsächlich 30% der in Deutschland gebauten Autos voll elektrisch. Das andere sind Gruppen wie die chemische Industrie, wo vorallem die fossilen richtig Probleme haben. Momentan entlassen die meisten Raffinerien viele Arbeiter und die großen Ölriesen wollen gerne ihre deutschen Raffinerien verkaufen. Das dauert alles, aber der Wandel ist da und geht in die richtige Richtung.

    Auch im Ausland können gute Sachen passieren. Russland kann fallen, die USA kann Trump vielleicht sogar abgewählt werden und so weiter.

  • No they did not, they went for a similar color for the car parts of the street and actually a warmer tone for the cycling and pedestrian parts. That btw also reduces light pollution, as the white ones are much brighter then redish tones.

  • Für Deutsche geht es da die Schweiz mit der EU Freizügigkeit hat, aber Inder haben das nicht. Du wirst auch nach der Ausbildung keine bekommen, da man mindestens fünf Jahre in Deutschland gelebt haben muss, damit das geht. Das allerdings auch nur bei besonders guter Integration. Es wird wahrscheinlich etwas passieren, aber nicht die Regel werden.

  • The issue is that China has few viable markets for export left. They are in a trade war with the US, which has 25% of global nominal GDP, they themself have 16%. China has had military issues with Japan and India two massive trade blocks 3.5% of the global economy each. If you add to that the countries they have pissed of in the South China Sea you probably get to another 10% with good reasons to not allow Chinese products.

    Given how much China exports, the EU is an incredibly important market with 18% of the global economy. It is also why Trump is such an idiot to piss of the EU. This could break China.
