It shouldn’t be, but I feel like this is such a delicate thing.

Like, Trump is obviously racist, but his base sees themselves in him and when he is labeled racist, it projects to them; they’re labeled racist too. They “know” they aren’t racist and it’s a strong accusatory word along the lines of being called a pedophile and that instantly brings up defenses and basically kills any chance of swaying their opinion. Besides, if we were wrong calling “them” (their projection from trump) racist, how could we possibly be right about calling Trump racist?

Should we give a shit what these people think? Really wish we didn’t have to, but the world isn’t fair and just enough at the moment to disregard the nuance here.

  • This user doesn’t deserve the down votes.

They’re not saying that Trump should get more votes because of his trash headlines and behavior, they’re just calling out because it’s just what happens with that fascist.

Democrats should, unfortunately, do the same kind of massive attention seeking to resonate with those of his base that aren’t completely set on just being evil. It makes the candidate look active, engaged, decisive, and not passive on any matter, no matter how small.

Anyone who pays attention to Trump knows he has no substance with what he says, but because he’s always front and center of every little issue (or at least that’s how he’s got the media optics playing for him), it makes him seem very present and on top of things. Think of it like being a useless office worker, but you always walk around looking angry and in a hurry so people assume you’re busy and working hard.

Like it or not, there is huge value in that in this whole dumb popularity contest.

  • You really think there’s a complete carte blanche from either the current administration or will likely be under Harris? Don’t get me wrong. Israel has gone way overboard, but me assure you it could be a lot worse.

Infact, the actions of Trump during his administration included moving the US embassy in an extremely controversial move and even the war criminal Netanyahu meets Trump personally - when he is not even President.

Are you saying that taking action like not voting for Harris, which will help enable a Trump victory, is the correct course of action to reduce Palestinian and Lebanese suffering? Your approach doesn’t make any sense if your goal is to reduce suffering.

  • Yeah, it’s very normal to go out of your way to post opinion articles by… Let’s see…

J.T. Young is the author of the upcoming book, “Unprecedented Assault: How Big Government Unleashed America’s Socialist Left” and has over three decades of experience working in Congress, the Department of Treasury, and the White House Office of Management and budget, and representing a Fortune 20 company.

That’s just a legit news source you’re postin’ there big guy. Nice and extra legit. It’s also really cool how you definitely don’t have an agenda and just reassured all of us.

  • Blatent hypocrisy of China. They do not allow the same access to their domestic markets that they demand from every other country.

They expect the world to open their wallets to them while they spit in their faces by supporting Russia’s imperialistic war in Ukraine, prop up North Korea, ignore international law and try to claim land that clearly isn’t theirs, lied to the world about COVID, and are actively building for war with Taiwan. Chinese behavior is showing they should not be placated and given free access to markets.

It’s a shame because Chinese people are smart and hard working. Just sucks their country is so misguided.
