I just think it's funny that, way back in the DOS days, dark mode was the only mode, then GUIs and the web were the "modern" thing, and if you didn't like, fuck you too bad... Now we've gone full circle.
It's because an oncoming narrow object (bicycle, motorcycle) looks stationary and/or far away. Weaving side to side is known to snap drivers out of their stupor.
It's not so they won't forcibly take your car, it's so you won't get tangled up in the seatbelt when they yank you out. Stupid any way you look at it considering how unlikely one thing is to happen vs the other, but at least there is some logic to it.
