This is my whole family, they're glued to their phones whenever I'm around, but if I'm at work and I need to call one of them I have to ping pong all their phone numbers until one of them picks up, and even then sometimes they don't.
Man, I'm glad I went to the raws to finally finish it, this wait is absolutely painful. Barely goes a little beyond where the anime ends.
Although I already knew it's still extremely cathartic to see that Ysley and Paula were fine despite everything, the anime makes it very easy to get caught up in the moment.
Except he was furious that Augustus was touching the chocolate river and he was even more upset that he fell in it, presumably because that batch is effectively ruined.
extremely nitpicky gripe, but making leaves and flowers blue using food colouring was something I actually did, in kindergarten, so the line about "not being able to make the leaves blue" threw me off. it's a hell of a lot easier than making meat blue. plus, plants were traditionally a source of blue dye.
the "excuse" is that AI doesn't have an upfront cost (or at least not as expensive) or waiting period.
with a human you have to pay a lot and wait for them to finish and you might not even like the finished result, but with AI, it can shit out 20 different versions of what you want and you can pick and choose.
for the average person that's all they care about, they don't give a fuck that it actually cost a fuckton of energy, or that it had to steal thousands of hours of real human work and effort in seconds to "magically" make their slop appear.
