Not only does it make the die more pleasing to look at, but the number isn't fighting for space with the other two digits, the other numbers are also angled downwards rather than upwards, further indicating that the number at the top is what you rolled.
You jest, but chatbots are essentially that. Don't doubt for a second that as soon as it becomes viable to satisfy users physically like that they won't hop on that train immediately and slap a subscription on it.
I'm in a similar situation, I bought the tablet years ago, supplies, sketchbooks, nice pens, etc. I watch art related content and provide critique and such to my friends, but as soon as it comes down to putting pen to paper it's like all the motivation and inspiration leaves me. Honestly at a loss, it's been about 15 years for me, I'd still like to call myself an artist, but I do anything but draw.
