  • Ear tripping a cat is typically only done to stray or feral cats to identify them as having been fixed and can be seen from a distance.

    I have 4 house cats (2 male, 2 female) from shelters, all are fixed, and none of them have had their ears tipped.

    Does ear-tipping hurt a cat?

    Cat ear-tipping is extremely safe and is performed while the cat is already anesthetized for spay or neuter surgery. There is little or no bleeding involved, and it is not painful to the cat. The ear heals up quickly, and the tipped ear doesn’t detract one bit from the appearance or beauty of the cat.

  • So, when I was in highschool (circa 1996-ish) I couldn't sleep one night. Decided to walk down to the 7-11. There were a few pinball games in there that I played before, but never really took it seriously. Popped in the quarter and got my ass handed to me. Decided, fuck it, I have nothing better to do at midnight in North Dakota. Popped in another quarter. Ended up hitting the multiplier in the top left corner. This machine was so worn out that I kept pushing the pinball into the multiplier slot. It got stuck and just bounced around there for a while. I eventually lost the ball, but now I knew the secret. Put the ball in the upper left corner. Every game after that I would aim for the upper left corner and it would just stick up there earning points. I eventually got bored at like 2 am and left the machine with like 65 free games from all the points I gathered. Fun as hell.

    If you're immortal, you'd (not you specifically, just whoever in general) have to be a complete tool to go through hundreds/thousands of years without generating at least enough wealth to retire at some point.

  • My ex wife was in one of those 1 in 1 million accidents where wearing a seatbelt would have done more damage than not wearing it. Now she never wears her seatbelt because "a doctor" once said in her particular one off experience he was glad she wasn't wearing one. SMH. I tried to explain how wearing a seatbelt is safer in almost every other account, but she doesn't listen. It's just a matter of time till my son doesn't have a mother anymore.
