Oops you’ve picked the wrong audience posting that on Lemmy!
Chuffed is slang for very pleased in the UK. More specifically it’s when something good has just happened to you that’s causing you to grin uncontrollably like a lunatic.
As my crude father would say: “I’m chuffed to buggery!”
Although buggery is a bad thing on its own, when combined with chuffed it’s like a +1 enchantment instead.
I’ve used a hand plane to flatten out a cutting board as a complete amateur. It works surprisingly well but something larger like a tabletop would take a long time
Same with me and Black & White 1. I loved the hell out of that game and didn’t know about his reputation. There’s still a massive shortage of god games out there over 20 years later.
You’re right that the idea has come from the mind boggling number of options in vehicles these days. The company I worked for recently had over a million different combinations, and making more physical parts standard fit saves them money.
However that saving is not passed on to the customer. The company pockets it all, and makes more money on top with the subscriptions.

NO
I’m pro-socialism and heavily regulated capitalism.
All that far left Marxist Communist crap is for people who like to pretend that it doesn’t fail every single time.
Remind me what happened to the Soviet union with their “Democracy”?
The line is when the communist system collapses as usual and a dictatorship seizes power.
Because it fails and morphs into an authoritarian hellhole every single time without exception?
And they’re still selling it on Steam. A game that they have no intention of finishing.
Generally you don’t buy this all in one go. The idea is to buy one or two extra things per week and build the stockpile slowly.
The reputation comes from the US military being stationed in the UK during the height of WW2 rationing when there was an extremely limited list of ingredients to cook with. They were unable to associate a country under an attempted siege from U-boats with a reduced supply of food.
We do have a love of beige food at times, but it’s essentially our version of chicken tendies.
Very nice. What wood did you use?
