  • I however disagree with the notion that Nazis wouldn't be Nazis if opposition "took the high road" and debated the Nazis instead of responding to their violence in kind. The Nazis are gonna do Nazi shit regardless, and their justifications will always be bullshit.

    Again, I don't see how you get there? I did not say anything like that? I did not say to take the high road, I did not say that the fascists would leave you alone? I said that fascists disproportionately will escalate violence in reaction, I did not qualify that one way or the other.

    I am just reminding, that there will be a price to pay, and that it will be expensive and that it is not fun or glorious to be in that position.

    Well, I this specific case they actually didn't... Martial law was declared from May 27th 1942 (the day of the assassination) until July 3rd 1942. So 37 days after the assassination the martial law over Czech was lifted again so there is a pretty clear connection as retribution to the assassination.

When Reinhard Heydrich was killed in an attack by Czech resistance fighters the Nazis imposed martial law over the whole country for two months, arrested 3000 people, executed 1300. Additionally they burnt two villages to the ground, executed the entire male population, all women went to concentration camps and all but 9 children in those villages where murdered.

    Don't get me wrong, I relish in the thought that Heydrich died like a dog and I'd say it was the right thing to do, just as I will absolutely not shed a tear for that shit stain Kirk, but the price can be very very high and those lunatics will retribute, cruel and senseless.

  • Paper roadmaps often mark scenic roads, the ones I had marked it with a green line following the street, I always made sure to drive those roads, the recommendation never failed.

    You write a Lot about Digital Entertainment, make sure to plan your route so you have plenty entertainment on the outside of your car. Don't just drive highways, they're boring and ugly and show you nothing of the place you're traveling through.

    Make sure you're at least a little familiar with your vehicle, like where is the breaker box, how do I access the spare tire, while you're at it check your insurance for road assistance.

    If you're planning on going to more rural areas make sure to check for gas stations, bringing a 10l fuel canister saved my ass more than once on my trips through rural eastern Europe.

    If you're traveling through different countries, with different languages, write down some phrases like 'hello', 'thank you' 'gasoline/gas station'. People were more friendly and often excited when we showed an effort to learn some phrases in their native Languages.

    The restaurants packed with locals are the ones you want to visit, especially when it's a lot of blue collar folk there, usually the food there is cheap and good, the locals will be there for a reason.

    If you're camping check the laws and make sure you know how to start and maintain a safe fire, after a long day of traveling you'll want to unwind a little, a little music, a fire, some card games are ideal for that, you can read/watch stuff when you're in bed.

  • Fühl dich gedrückt, unbekannterweise. Verlust und Trennungen tun scheiße weh, wie auch immer sie zustande kommen. Lass dir nix erzählen von wegen "nur ein dreiviertel Jahr" und "Leg dir ein dickes Fell zu", die haben keine Ahnung, eine Trennung nach zwei Wochen kann auch Herz zerreißend sein.

    Wie du darum trauerst ist deine Sache, nur ehrlich musst du mit dir sein. Nimm dir Zeit dafür, aber vergiss nicht auch nach vorne zu schauen, da draußen ist eine wundervolle Welt mit wundervollen Menschen darin (klar auch ne Menge Arschlöcher, aber wer braucht die schon).

    Nachdem ich erwachsen genug geworden war, konnte ich auch aus jeder Trennung und jedem Verlust was lernen und damit wachsen, ich hab viel über mich selbst gelernt und behaupte, jedes Mal etwas klüger, etwas reifer und etwas einfühlsamer geworden zu sein.

    Eine Freundin von mir hat vor einigen Jahren eine gute Freundin durch Suizid verloren, was sie in eine tiefe krise gestürzt hat, Depressionen, Anorexie, Auto Aggression, Schuldgefühle. Sie hat einige Jahre danach mal gesagt: "Ich bin x mittlerweile fast dankbar. Ohne das, wäre ich heute nicht der Mensch der ich jetzt bin." Manchmal sind die Steine die uns das Leben in den Weg legt auch nur das Fundament auf dem man später bauen kann, aber nur, wenn man auch die Arbeit reinsteckt das alles richtig zu verarbeiten und zu verstehen.

  • Wanted to say, I have two smaller ones and a medium mall, all within a 5 minute walk, all of them busy. But all of them also include supermarkets, the Aldi I always go to is in one. Its super convenient, when I come from work by train, I walk 1 minute from the station through the mall to the supermarket, pick up some stuff, exit on the other side of the mall and walk like 3 minutes home.

  • I snooped around a little in the sub and there is this one girl, whose only other posts in different communities talk about being sexually assaulted multiple times by her ex boyfriend, who I suppose is real.

    I figure a chatbot boyfriend can't physically threaten or harm her, so she kind of dives into this to feel loved without having to fear harm.

    I honestly understand her desire and feel for her, although this deep attachment is still unhealthy.

    I imagine she's not the only one having a super sad story to end up in this state of mind
