  • Any. I watch everything with subtitles, one, because it gives my dopamine-deprived brain more to latch onto, and two, my husband and I belong to those horrible people who'll talk over the movie and would miss half the dialogue if it weren't for subtitles.

    But apart from my personal aberrances, apparently it's becoming more common for people to rely on subtitles because sound editing in general has become worse recently (though I wouldn't know why or what exactly is different now). So you're definitely not the only one.

  • Law enforcement is (should be) held to higher standards in determining motive. They need to show evidence, not simply go on what's likely. As long as there is no direct link between the proposal and the attack, it's circumstantial and "unclear", even if common sense says "well duh".

  • Highjacking your comment to ask generally: Is there an easy way in lawnchair to put my apps into folders in the dock drawer? Going through settings is kind of tedious and the automatic caddy thing puts half of them into some catch-all category because it can't identify their purpose.

    That's so far the only thing that I find annoying about lawnchair. Nova spoilt me because it made that part so easy.

    I've also not found a way to arrange my widgets without padding between them. That's a bit unfortunate because it means my todo list doesn't fit next to my calendar anymore but I can deal with that.

  • I don't know why someone would want do do that. All I'm seeing is a post with literally no text other than a phrase known as a dog whistle. If you think it means something else, okay. I would ask for an alternative explanation for the title, because try as I might I can't think of one, but I'm deliberately not asking for one because I don't have the spoons to engage with that can of worms of denial.
