  • It was okay

  • The "head" of any department is often not a scientist. Scientists conduct technical work, they don't manage departments or orgs.

  • Why are links from The Guardian posted so often here?

  • Lol what

  • Shouldn't be an issue if drivers used it as a more advanced cruise control. Unless there is catastrophic mechanical or override failure, these things will always be the driver's fault.

  • Guy in the article isn't a scientist.

  • Wish you the best man. Try to get outside and take a walk every now and again. Think about the things and people directly in your community. Ground yourself in your slowly progressing, small, and immediate environment.

  • I see one screenshot and the Atlantic article is paywalled.

  • Man I really wish we weren't so entrenched in this car-centric city planning philosophy. Public transit just doesn't get it done around here compared to abroad.

  • I made the mistake of responding to Lumiluz on a different comment thread. They haven't responded yet, but based on this communication here I will just ignore any reply. It's strange we live in a world where you can be accused of being a KKK member due to unrelated tools one uses to browse the Internet.

  • I mean Daily Mail should set off an alarm for any sentient being.

  • My negative opinion predates the Trump administration. I never liked how they speak so confidently with limited and unsubstantiated evidence.

  • There tends to be a general distaste toward politicians in general among the scientific community.

  • Go back to reddit with your violent calls to action.

  • Just a branch off thought I had when you said many people with PhDs have had Dunning-Kruger. In general, I think the way the term is used (especially online) is used incorrectly.

Everybody should experience Dunning-Kruger, it's part of the process of learning something. People who use it as an insult should be calling their accusee arrogant instead.

  • How does the post have anything to do with what you just quoted from the community rules?

I am trying to say the post has nothing to do with science.

  • Academia = Science ?

  • Its clear border security can do whatever the fuck they want with impunity

It is likely you are mistaken. These border agents will have to attend court given the details of this altercation.
