I don't know. I feel like I should know but I don't. It seems like other people know, I don't know why I don't.

  • I fucking love No Man's Sky. I play video games to relax. Most of the time I ignore objectives and find my own way around. I used to follow people and creatures around Skyrim. I had been playing a ton of Red Dead Redemption 2 just to go ride hourses and look at stuff. My friend Trudi had me play 20 minutes or so on her computer and I bought my copy that day. I have been playing it off and on for a few years now.

  • With this president flattery will get you everything. If you don't publicly praise him he will come for you and your users.

I am not saying that I love the endorsement, I do understand it.

  • It is almost as though TiK Tok's data collection was a symptom of unregulated data collection. If only there was some way to reduce the amount of data companies were allowed to collect. Oh well I guess we can just ban this one as well.

  • There is actually some research on this and yes cats and dogs often have a preference for which side they favor. The distribution is far more even than it is with humans and many more are ambilateral and work well with either side without showing a strong preference.

More interesting than cats and dogs are chickens and pigs. Most chickens don't have a strong preference but those that do have a dominant eye tend to react to visual stimuli faster than other chickens. Pigs often have a dominant side of their about and it often corresponds with the direction their tails spiral.

  • This is the dumbest thing I have heard all day and I love it. Thank you so much for keeping the internet weird.

  • I must be missing the context for this. Does Potash mean something more than Potassium or the process for isolating it?

  • I don't think there is an intellectual answer because it is not an intellectual desire. There is nothing cerebral about the process it feels more limbic. We like them because our bodies demand it. There is no rational reason, there is nothing to understand except our biology. You are not missing the point or not seeing what we see you just don't have the same biological response.

My brother in law thinks cilantro is super gross, it's so bad that he won't go into certain Mexican food places because the smell is so appalling. Personally hardly notice it at all. I see his reactions and they align with the things I already know to be true about his situation but I just don't feel the way he feels. I know how he person feels but I will never truly understand the sensations.

All that to say we just think they are nice.

  • I think I might be in the dark on this one. I just found out about OneNote last year and I can't believe I ever passed a math class without it. I actually bought a Microsoft Surface primarily to have a better interface with OneNote. I have setup notebooks for health information, to plan travel, I even setup a notebook to keep track of my reading.

  • Yes, that appears to be a spider.

  • This community is awesome.

  • I can't believe this comedy gold is not upvoted more. Maybe it needs /s?

  • The two second rule is for following distance. Applying it to stopped cars makes no sense at all, but it is funny . You have it right.

  • It's a step in the right direction but there's still a ways to go.

  • Apparently a traffic cone is the way to go. The car will just sit there until someone removes the cone.

  • Eating on a dare Take a bite, we'll make it, I swear Woah-oh, livin' on a prayer

  • Imagine having a political opponent you consider equal to Hitler and choosing Joe Biden as the candidate you run against him.

  • Money for infrastructure and money to buy the thing.

  • This is a great plan. TP Link makes good hardware for cheap but thier software is trash. I have not used this particular router before but I do have experience with their prior versions. I have moved on to PF Sense for my router personally as my budget has grown. I have friends using TP link routers with OpenWRT and they are happy with it.
