  • Thanks! I guess something like vim would count as a TUI then.

  • What is a TUI? I haven't heard that term before.

  • Hey, I remember you from when I used to browse imgur. I always enjoyed your image dumps. :D

  • I think the only things I'm actively using is google calendar(which I would like to replace at some point) and youtube.

    I guess my phone is running android, but I'm not much of a phone person so I barely use it.

  • Grilled cheese. Its easy and delicious. Otherwise, cereal. :)

  • Something to be proud of. :)

  • Why is this in the canada sub... Its bad enough getting all the "Trump says..." posts.

  • I am in awe. I've been trying to expand the list of meals I make lately, but I can't even imagine doing so many different ones in a year!

  • Make lobbying illegal!

  • “We watch in horror about what is happening there,” Sharma said.

    Wow, you hardly ever see that kind of talk from people in power. Good for her!

  • Out of curiosity, how do you find gemini sites to read? If there aren't forms I assume there isn't a search engine?

  • Are we the baddies?

  • Pretty good for me with Mint. Mostly audio annoyances and window manager annoyances. I hated cinnamon because it leaks memory like mad and needs to be restarted often. Now I'm using Mate, but it seems to have a lot of annoying quirks of its own.

    Also I found that the compositor really messes with the performance of gaming, so I needed to turn it off which was a bit of a pain to figure out.

    Other than that, everything has been fine, but I used to use Linux a lot 20 years ago so the transition wasn't too bad for me.

  • Steam wouldn't start with that, apparently I'm missing some UI & pipewire libraries. Probably safer for me to keep using steams runtimes anyway.

  • I just grepped the log for gperftools and came up with nothing.

  • I installed via apt, so should be fine. Oh well!

  • Weirdly enough, it did work that time, but froze the game when I tried to exit. I tried another time and it didn't run the game and gave some errors like:

    [___](ERROR: ld.so: object '/REDACTED/.steam/debian-installation/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored.
    )

    and

    Initializing steam
    Setting breakpad minidump AppID = 462770
    free(): invalid pointer

    and then a long stacktrace. No idea what it means.

    Steam games with linux runtimes don't work (Mint)

  • Thanks for this. A friend of mine mentioned that Kovrig actually was spying and I didn't really believe him. Guess our government was lying to us at the time. :(

  • It sounds like they only ate less for 5 days of the month though, and felt better over the whole month. I wouldn't have expected that at least, so kinda interesting?
