  • Thanks. I'm not a courageous person. But I am 235lbs and 6'2". If I get the chance I'll do my best to plant my feet.

  • As a Microsoft employee myself. This is the first our CEO has shown his face since the last time when two MS workers interrupted his talk a few months ago. They followed up by cancelling public appearances and most company events until now. Especially, related to AI. And this isn't really public. Tickets for this were $1500. Glad to see more of my coworkers speak up. It's insane how quickly they pulled him out of there.

If anyone wants to know more check out No Azure for Apartheid on Twitter. They have a link tree for more resources for getting involved as an employee.

One of the things you can do is "donate your resignation" which is essentially what this guy did. For anyone that wants to leave this genocide supporting company we encourage they don't go silently. But that doesn't have to be a public display as high profile as this either. Can be as simple as an email to your local team groups to cause disruption.

Learning from this. I think I'd zip tie myself to something before I start yelling. At least force that piece of shit to acknowledge my presence.

Maybe you guys will see me on here next. Though I'm already in hot water with my managers right now and may lose my badge before another event like this.

Edit: They also instantly wiped this guy from Microsoft emails and chats. Definitely was either fired right away or blacklisted.

  • What causes that? Is it the coffee cup that actually makes the coffee taste slightly cooler than room temp water in a glass? I'm guessing. I don't know if it's actually colder. But probably more due to the heat transfer you're feeling from your lips to the mug?

Either way, I'm going to go put this in the microwave so I can find it there again at around 10PM when I finally remember I didn't eat anything besides snacks and need to heat up a burrito.

  • There is overlap on both of these things. They are using whatever methods they can to deport people. They are focusing on (1) deporting as many people as possible to have numbers to show and flex for their base come midterms and (2) to suppress all speaking out against the genocide in Gaza and labeling them as terrorists.

So. No, it's the same act. The administration is using whatever tools they can to suppress speech and deport brown people. So there is some overlap as well as the administration just making up shit and breaking the law as quickly as they can.

It's essentially the administrations policy to overwhelm the court systems and force them to play whackamole.

  • This was stripping the "Temporary Protective Status" from the Venezuelan immigrants. This essentially makes them all deportable now.

This court decision in the OP is blocking the use of the Alien Enemies Act Trump was trying to use to deport anyone that spoke out against Israel.

  • He was actually going less orange for awhile. Which, honestly, I personally think he actually looks better orange. When you see pictures of his natural skin tone he kinda looks freaky. Maybe I'm just use to the orange man.

  • No, only Zionist try to associate Antisemitism with anti Zionism. This character is an antisemitic depiction of a "large nosed Semetic person". Which historically includes Arabs. A character that has existed long before Israel or even Nazi Germany. It is a character used to "otherize" these peoples and depict them as "controlling and manipulating".

And this depiction of the large nosed evil looking character "controlling" western leadship has historically been used to depict Arab Muslims and Arab Jews alike. We associate it's use primarily with Jewish people because of the history of the Holocaust; which is why I was making that point. Most people understand this is racist if it's a depiction of a Jewish person but ignore it's racism when used to depict Arabs.

This comic is essentially using these same stereotypes of "Jews control the world" but applying it to Arab states.

There is criticism to be made of Trumps corrupt dealings with foreign nations for his own profit. But this comic is not doing that. This comic is depicting the foreign states with the same evil looking "controlling" character and I would criticize it's racism if it was being used to depict Jews or Arabs alike.

Many of the same stereotypes used historically against Jews are being used to "otherize" Arabs today. As this is the current "acceptable" racism in the West.

If you are anti Zionist you should be able to understand this.

  • The first one for sure.

  • Pretend this was a depiction of a Jew

  • Is this meant to be a test of this sub or a joke? Second one actually knows how to draw a face. Wtf is going on in the top? Are these mislabeled?

  • Well, it's the lie silicon valley has sold. A lie that is falling apart (hence the right wing shift of the tech oligarchs). The lie was "Making the world a better place" we could use technology to "fix" the contradictions of capitalism. It did this primarily through liberal aesthetic based improvements. Which a lot of every day people confused with actual progressive material improvements.

You'll still see it today with people defending Bill Gates as he continues to maintain the aesthetics. Still seen as a "progressive billionaire" as inherently contradictory that term is.

  • That and the absolute failure of "Denazification" in favor of "fighting communism" following WW2. The western powers aligned with former Nazis instead of purging them from any political position.

We've had a generation of Nazi sympathizer in power building to this moment. And while the actual brown shirts may be dead their children are very much trying to take up where their parents failed. Musk being an obvious example.

  • If you have followed Elon Musk beyond just his public "tech guy" persona it's not as much of a 180 as you'd think. At least in terms of Musk. The public perception of him has done a swap but I'd still say it's inaccurate. The fact that we have a "party swap" on a billionaire like this is mostly testament to how both parties work for capitalist billionaire interests in their own way.

Musk has always been a narcissist. His political goals have always been aligned with his capital and seizing of power. If he could get to the same place he was today by being an oil Barron he would have done so. It should be a wake up call for people that associate their political beliefs with red or blue to realize how flexible these parties are in serving the interest of billionaires. And not necessarily a "shift" in Musk. Musk has always been this way.

  • The queer community is still being forgotten even today. And with attacks on LGBTQ rights on the rise there are still people largely trying to distance the Nazis for being anti LGBTQ. They do this because they know that people still think Nazis are bad (for now at least) so they literally rewrite history to whitewash Nazi crimes against LGBTQ groups. They don't want their Nazi ideas of today being correctly associated with the Nazis.

We sadly live in a world where one of the most popular political commentators online says stuff like "I'm 99% sure the Holocaust happened" and "Well, it's my understanding that they didn't burn the trans literature book because they were trans. It's because the books were written in Jewish".

This is all to disconnect LGBTQ hatred from its Nazi connections.

If you don't know the "political commentator" I'm talking about you're a healthy person without brain rot. So I'll keep it that way.

  • Thank you. For some reason our entire society thinks "safety" only applies to the people inside of the vehicle.

It's a testament to our very individualized society under capitalism. It's basing all values on a individuals consumption choices. Rather than the safety and security of society as a whole.

Sadly, carrying around a brick above your head is still the only "consumer" choice pedestrians have for safety.

  • Is this tacked on with a bunch of other laws related to criticism of Zionism also being against the law?

Tons of laws Israel is trying to get passed in western countries to associate anti Zionism with Antisemitism.

I doubt this is the only part of the law.

  • Interesting. Is this a fundamental limitation of C or is it just more preferable and easier to use FORTRAN when implementing it?

Meaning could the same performance be achieved in C but most optimized libraries are already written so why bother? Or basically C can't achieve the memory optimization at all?

  • If these things are really effecting your life. Pursue a diagnosis. Being medicated is not the end all be all a lot of people seem to act like it is. For me it's helped me be happier with myself and be able to accomplish things I actually care about. It hasn't really helped with the "this job is pointless and is actually not helping me or society" crisis that I going on. Sadly I think that's more to do with capitalism and ADHD people just look for the material reasons for why we become frustrated with it.
