  • What they can do is generate code that is totally deterministic, and then defer to those results. The fact these people aren't doing that just makes them negligent.

  • This sentiment for a hobby is actually insane. Press X to doubt you can get that quantity or quality of entertainment anywhere else for what.... Cents per hour in most cases?

  • Just to be clear, I'm not justifying it, but the reason doesn't matter. The right thinks the same of the left. You say they don't, but then go on to say why they do cut people out. Of course they do, else they'd be going insane... It's a mental survival coping tactic. Both sides do this, until something changes, like regime change, civil war, or capitulation.

  • I mean lots of people do the same thing on the other side, but many deem it as reasonable because they agree with the viewpoint. It's natural when the opposition is considered to be wrong and irrational to cope by removing all interaction. It doesn't matter which side, it's true for both. When it gets to an extreme point, you get civil war or capitulation.

  • Too big to fail

  • If any solution relies on large numbers of people to make any sacrifice it statistically will fail every time. The solution must come from science, from a small group, that can scale very large with profit as it's backbone to implement it. No other way is possible.

  • That was some of the worst sound I've ever heard in a musical number, basically anywhere. You can like the story, you can like the visuals, but objectively he sounded like shit.

  • Totally depends on the part

  • Yup that's exactly what I'm talking about. They need a benchmark for what it can do, not the size of a part or a made up size for marketing. Or just disconnect the specs from the marketing name entirely.

  • They should count up by some benchmark. If x/mm^2 doesn't capture the improvement anymore, and they aren't shrinking things much anymore, benchmark some common output.

  • That's all it is, semantics and connotation. The person in charge of the whole thing is by definition CEO unless it's a board.

  • The alternative is running everything by committee, which isn't always practical.

"About 74 percent of adults in the U.S. are overweight, according to the CDC

That includes nearly 43 percent who are considered obese. "

I mean, look around... And it's a disorder because they cannot stop, they cannot help themselves no matter what education you give them, and it's directly connected to universally understood negative medical outcomes. It's a disease based on addiction psychopathology.

  • Most people have gluttony eating disorder. They cannot stop eating and cannot fathom suffering with hunger... Which is required to lose weight. They will make 6 fancy meals a day instead of snacking, if they change habits at all.

Eating air fried cauliflower will fix nothing, as they will eat 800 calories of it in a sitting, and cannot imagine that they need 1500 calories a day for 3 years to not prematurely die in the next 5-10 years.

It's the worst epidemic we have.

  • So free from physics

  • While likely necessary, it's a shame and far less logistically favorable, which in turn affects emissions.

  • Free always needs a qualifier... Free from what? Free from other people, for now... Free from physics? No.

  • You should have added the novel mechanism or a link to the study. Successful treatment is equivalent to healing.

  • 450ml of what? 1oz of what? 100% ethanol? Drinks and liquor vary extremely widely and has no definition.
