  • This is exactly me hahaha. Except I do like playing boardgames. I just really hate learning them.

  • Mould, I'm always surprised at how few people can smell when food is mouldy. I've had people insist the smell is a chemical smell, until we've found the offending mouldy item (e.g. When someone's left a cup of coffee on their desk and gone on holiday) and I reap the glory of being right.

  • I visited Boston from the UK and found everyone to be super friendly. Had lots of conversations with folks who just started chatting to me, and would go out of their way to recommend things to do. I also found the same in NYC. And Paris. I think friendly people are everywhere.

  • And the Lord did smote them, and it was good.

  • Thank you. Yeah I'm so fed up of netflix, all the free on-demand streaming services in the UK are better than Netflix now, and have the same amount of ads. I torrent a fair bit but I used to like Netflix for casually watching things I might not have found otherwise. The only thing is that there's nothing to find on there anymore.

  • Can you tell more about this please?

  • What you're saying isn't untrue, but if I'm drunk I shouldn't be in control of fire.

  • I've never seen one claim it cleans, just that it makes your hair look less greasy, which it does.

  • How did you know they were going to do that?

  • The Stoics would say you actually shouldn't seek constant mental stimulation, because letting your brain just "be", and sitting with boredom, is actually incredibly beneficial for creativity and personal growth. I do have to ask though, as what you're describing is so relatable and I used to be the same way as you until I taught myself to let my brain relax; is it possible you have ADHD?

  • I like day dreaming, talking to people I bump into while I'm about, hearing the buzz of people in a pub garden, the music playing in people's cars as they drive past. I like these things, it makes me feel connected to the place I live. It's also good to just let your mind wander without constant stimulation.

  • Maybe not mental illness but this is definitely a stim for me.

  • Ok but the point is, if anyone isn't using Outlook they do get a pointless email. My workplace doesn't use Outlook and I get tons of these. I'm glad to have learnt I can block them though.

  • In the UK we end messages with kisses xx

  • I would strongly recommend trying Couch to 5k. There are a bunch of free apps for it. It's a program that can get basically anyone from doing zero exercise, to being able to run 5km. I literally never ran until my 30s and now I do 5km 3 times a week, and even did a 10km race.

It's very gentle and achievable but all of a sudden you'll realise you've finished the program and you're a runner haha.

  • If you don't experience any oppression then I guess it's quite easy to say politics don't matter.

  • I mean, it's customising a Neopets page, but yeah we all learnt to code this way 😂

  • I'm assuming they'll still get you to complete the hench questionnaire, just not charge you after?
