If full time Walmart employees need government assistance programs to afford food and pay their rent, is it not Walmart who is leaning on government assistance?

  • Some of these newer alloy wheels are harder to mount. If you let them know there's a history of leaks on that tire they may apply tar to the rim which can go a long way. My car has had a lot of issues on one tire until I found the right mechanics, ironically they were also the cheapest (small business who specialize in used tires). Later after getting new tires the problem went away without the tar, so I think it comes down to surface prep.

  • Maybe I'm snobbish, but instant vs drip vs French press vs americano all taste different and Americano is so much better it was this or a bialetti moka express. My wife said she'd never use the stove top one and I've made over 10,000 espresso shots so far, so I'd wager I would have eventually caved in and bought a super automatic anyways. It may have paid for itself in electricity tbh.

  • An m8 and m10 bolt from ace hardware with corresponding washers. Big spender

  • I believe they advised against it, but a few still did and had to put on Ted Cruz levels of pompous to gas light the crowds.

  • What a dumbass. Dude just called for the death of congress members saying the exact same thing.

  • Republicans aren't interested in governing. Can't wait for the next town halls viral footage. In all seriousness though, I legit think these people may start getting shot at town halls.

  • I think it blends the line a bit the more you know someone. There are selfish things that you can do without it being narcissistic and everyone can get to a point where from the outside it looks selfish, but context changes that calculation.

Whenever someone is selfish and throws me under the bus or asks for far more than what they give I try my best to come up with excuses for them. Usually this is the right approach and saves me from making an ass out of myself and allows me to "be there" for more people who truly need it, but sometimes I'm searching for that excuse so long or gaslight myself into thinking up a good excuse and I end up as a narcissist's host for a while.

Personally, evil has to be clear, even when devoid of nuance or context.

  • I feel like the approval process at these federal institutes used to be about 7 people long and now the approval process is 1 nazi giggling with 2 other nazis and then some normal military person parallel to them continually has to clean up the mess.

  • Fan is to turbine as drill is to... turbine?

  • It's very telling that despite changing to the "settings" menu for user settings, they've still got links to the old menus 10+ years later. I think the powertoys community has done more windows feature adds than Microsoft has in the last 20 years.

  • Pretty self explanatory

  • Wtf is this website? Check out the AI slop privacy policy and about us page that doesn't even match a news site.

  • Never met what I'd describe as a truly evil person, but definitely a lot of narcissistic people whose selfishness and lack of self awareness have caused numerous instances of wondering if they were in fact just evil people.

  • What a joke that they represent chicago. Judges don't know what a reasonable time frame to resolving matters of state violence even is, as evidenced that they err on the side of the fascists until they make their decision. Even if they eventually restrict DHS again, the fear is the point and that point will already be made.

  • After the Hamas-led attack on 7 October 2023, Foghel wrote: "The people of Israel understand very well that nothing is more just and fitting than the death penalty for terrorists.

Be careful what you wish for, Nazi terrorist.

  • "It appears that a mistake has been made. Please politely refrain from further mistakes. Another mistake, not good, please commit no further mistakes. It appears you just violated 3 of Comey's constitutional rights, try not to do that again. You lied to the grand jury 5 times just there, mistakes happen...." ad nauseum

Says all of the people that believe mistakes from criminal defendants should often cost them huge chunks of their lives, at least if it's a poor on trial.

  • Just going out on a limb, but with windows 11 being so similar to 10, it would make sense to continue to port updates over to 10 that are fully compatible. That being said, feature updates are over.

  • "Can?" I think they mean, "Are required to." Just following orders is not a defense.

  • Yeah Richard Lebowitz is a good example of how many second chances are extended for lawyers, it's shocking. Leonard French has a series of all of the complaints against him.

  • He sounds like a perfect candidate for ICE, it's pretty obvious this would look good on a resume. Luckily it'll also look good on a death sentence once the dust settles.
