Do any Ukrainians realize their extremely vocal support is not for them as human beings who suffer, but as an inanimate bludgeon to use to harm State Dept designated enemies?
I'm rabidly pro-China and tacitly pro-Russia. I will praise both their people and their governments when I feel they are doing right, and criticize them when they are doing wrong.
Simply put, the actions of China and Russia are weakening US hegemony, making possible the development of Africa and the rest of the global south, in effect saving hundreds of millions of lives, if not billions.
No amount of nitpicks or disagreement on lofty ideals will ever outweigh that.
Not interested in spreading falsehoods, but if anyone would like to organize efforts to express these opinions and supporting evidence, I would enthusiastically participate.
Westerners are so conditioned to regurgitate hatred against the officially sanctioned state enemies that not blindly parroting their caricatures is seen as suspicious, let alone have positive things to say.
I have more and stronger critiques of both countries and their governments than their haters do, largely because I have made serious attempts to understand the culture, history, & material conditions of these countries, instead of brushing them off with a thought-terminating cliché.
China making the BBC slightly more inconvenient to access is far worse than exterminating an entire continent of people in a centuries long colonial project.

The CDC can genuinely be an institution that does more harm than good and also not be a good target for adventurism.

I interpret the "let them fight" emote as "Who cares? They are both dogshit. Why defend the CDC's honor?" Not a celebration of the target choice. Nor wishing for violence for CDC employees.
Again idgaf either way. Only put in my two cents because I felt that the accusation of being called a Strasserite and reactionary is extremely uncharitable when the commenter is clearly just fucking around, but also pissed that the CDC sacrificed some of our grandparents.
