  • I've listened to the Socialist Program for many years now, and I don't agree with your approximation of Brian Becker. He makes many good points and I don't find myself disagreeing with him. I probably listen once a month, so I'm not an expert on his beliefs. I'm also not American.

Of the all the groups in the USA, they seem to be the most well organized and largest compared to FRSO and a better political line than CPUSA/DSA and any other smaller groups. But like I said, this is only what I've observed from afar. I know they had some scandals in the past.

  • Consider taking acting or improv classes. Study live stand-up comedy and 'crowd work'

  • it's working for me rn

  • currently working for me

  • Just jumping in here to say that recycling is totally legitimate. It's recycling plastic that has issues, because the price of new plastic is comparable to the price of recycling plastic. Recycling aluminum is extremely efficient.

  • if 1 dime has a hater i'm one of them. if 1 dime has 0 haters, im dead

  • Huawei watch has one, seems pretty good. Kinda funny to get a notification of stressed watching a show or playing an intense game

  • 'the internet' in the west was created by the us govt/military. china has the 'great firewall' for good reason, 'the internet' can you be used as a propaganda weapon in cyber warfare

  • From my discussions with some Chinese people, it's that the government found that it wasn't able to adequately meet the needs of the people without taking up a ton of the state's budget (biggest population) causing issues like inflexibility from planning, so they opened it up to the market, but still under the watch of the state. Like others have said, their insurance is and medical care is very inexpensive compared to western countries, so it's not a big problem.

  • i usually just say that chatgpt is basically a glorified redditor and list the sites that it scrapes. also sources

  • I had a fitbit for 4.5 years until it just died. It was useful, but once google bought them I'm glad it did. I have a Huawei watch, it's so advanced it feels futuristic, so many great features. I only wish the interface was a little bit more customizable, but the amount of info it gives me about my health is great, helps keep me motivated and is like less than half the cost of an Apple watch. Highly recommended.

  • There is a ton of information that smart watches can tell you, I don't think you fully understand the scope. I have a Huawei one.

  • the thesis is basically 'one guy exploited ppl so he's rich, my dad didn't so he's poor'

  • it's the eternal september
