just looking around for now

  • i enjoy a good aim assist for a game that is played best with a controller (i'd like one for skywalker saga for example). but having aim assist when playing competitively on pc, it just doesn't feel earned in a way.

and outright banning any use of these devices makes me want a console even less.

making the game fair for everyone requires either aimbot on controller and none on mouse or no crossplay at all, but i still dont like banning input methods.

another solution would probably be to limit aimbot to casual titles, and whoever really wants to get competitive just has to buy a mouse.

  • true, that was a dick move. still bought the 4 and don't regret it 1,5 years later. i got used to having DACs around, as an audiophile it doesn't bother me much.

  • on the 'area to exist in' list, europe definetely ranks very high.

the high cost of living is definetely a thing to consider, but wages are pretty fair if you learn a specific profession and you get pretty good healthcare by default.

plus almost everyone under 60ish years of age speaks english to a degree, so you can bridge the gap of learning the local language pretty well.

oh yeah and we take human rights at least more seriously than the US of course.

  • so does this mean i can finally install extensions on my company issued ipad?

of course mozilla still has to develop a whole new browser, but will this mean they get to?

  • not with the current "shift to the right" we're doing. these parties will do and say anything to get into power and foreigners out of their country.

but me and many other average citizens would very much like to welcome you with open arms.

  • there's one of these for literally every meme ever huh?

  • may be, it could also mean that boeing didn't adequately specify the kind and amount of maintenance that has to be done. it could also mean that delta changed the maintenance procedure so much that this failure could occur.

there have been many cases where either has led to catastrophic failure

  • i use:

    • aves (gallery app)
    • organic maps
    • jellyfin
    • openboard
    • symphony (music player)
    • syncthing
    • nclientV2 (te best way to read 6-digit codes)
    • fair email (easily the best e-mail app i've ever used)

also youtube revanced (not entirely open source or available on f-droid, but the best way to watch youtube without ads for my use case)

  • i don't work directly with these guidelines, but i'm told that whoever does maintenance has to follow the maintenance intervals dictated by boeing alone.

if a plane doesn't experience much wear, the intervals can be elongated. in addition, the maintenance company can change certain parts of the maintenance if they have the right qualifications.

but no one really checks every single nut and bolt, so delta could've also been sloppy.

  • i work in aerospace, and that's not delta's fault. delta is trying to save money according to boeings maintenance guidelines.

(although i'm not 100% sure about that either)

  • if it means prison time for a middle/lower class person, it should mean prison time for everyone who is responsible for basically publishing logins and personal data.

no more geeting off scott free because you run a company. you're a prisoner like everyone else now.

  • i've only ever seen VW amaroks, these are already pointlessly huge.

  • the french are already doing it quite well, wherever you live would definetely benefit from a protest of this scale.

  • for sure, but nuclear fission like we are doing it right now is definetely not sustainable. we can do it for like a hundred more years, then the waste really starts piling up.

  • i think we would've done that.

  • yes, absolutely. we germans should've shut down coal plants first. but there's no point in reactivating the nuclear power plants, especially because we are literally producing more power than we can use. 60% of which is renewables. some providers will give you energy for basically free, as long as you use it at night when everything shuts down.

  • our HP Envy model lasted ,i shit you not, 5 months.

our epson eco-tank we got after that happily prints away 2 years after we bought it without issue. i think we refilled the colors once, and the black 2 times now. for 10€ a bottle.

  • epson eco-tank is my new best friend.

  • only for the better, now's the time to set a new WR.
